MHA is a bit rough honestly from all the criticism I heard it seems like the author doesn't even take breaks let alone jot down ideas he came up. Something that Naruto I will give props to is that while the female cast is not as prominent than the male cast at the very least the story is engaging and you get to see outside of Konoha and the growth of Naruto is very clear and got his dream in the end. MHA has a similar issue with the female cast but the story progression is left to be desired. While Deku did became the great hero in the end he became a teacher which respectable that it is left the readers who followed his journey with that one goal that deku has similar to Naruto but that goal only last for a brief moment. The fact that Ochako wasnt allowed to be together due to potential fandom backlash is baffling to me. Naruto even got married to Hinata even if thats not Sakura but he got married so Deko didnt leaves me with lonelyman syndrome.

Modern "anime enjoyers" will latch onto anything if its flash, edgy, or not something inspirational. bleach is fine the story made sense from beginning to end(and it was actually very good at that it made overall more sense after the last arc), the only problem of bleach are the light novel(CFYOW and the other one i forgot its name) which are "weirdly" written and clash with already established lore from the manga Hell arc from bleach is needed so we actually know in depth how hell work, don't forget his other work with the witch in Europe which is supposed to be in the same universe as bleach, he could made a comeback for shonen jump and already said if he's gonna make one it'll be after the tybw anime ended

There is a theory by a major part of the jjk fandom support, that i also happened to come up by myself, is that jjk is getting a sequel. It happens to be a major theory, as there are very big major plot points that have been unexplored in jjk, and there is an announcement for jjk to end in 5 chapters, which means it's ending, but there is hope, as everybody knows the secret final boss of the series (aka THE TENGEN MERGER) haven't even been unleashed to kill everyone, even though a large part of the story was dedicated to creating the monster, meaning there may be a sequel where gege akutami keeps the story going in a different point of view as a sequel.

From my experience, Black Clover was never nowhere near as mainstream as MHA, JJK and Demon Slayer. The last two anime conventions I went to, I couldn’t recall a single Black Clover cosplay. As for the merch, it was always JJK and Demon Slayer that were put at the forefront. Even concerning art, I’ve hardly seen any artist on Twitter draw Black Clover characters.

These in my opinion are basically the only anime / manga that are mainstream / have the capability to take up the atmosphere left behind by the old generation. Really wish Horikoshi sent out a tweet or message or something captioned "Now, it's your turn" to really prompt and inspire other upcoming manga artists to begin writing and illustrating their own mangas. I would be happy to see 2-4 more big faces come up and take the stage in the ucoming years, or else things will become a bit dry.

Its just the ebb and flow of the magazine. Old series end, new series inspired by those old series will take their place. Dragon Ball ends, One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach takes its place. Naruto and Bleach ends, MHA, JJK, and Demon Slayer takes their place. MHA, JJK, and Demon Slayer ends, a new generation will take their place too, but we'll probably not see it coming. I mean who knew about MHA and JJK before they blew up.

@@jasonmillsom2981 This is false. The "big 3" were not known as the "big 3" during serialization, but they were the most popular manga/anime by a wide margin. Naruto and One Piece were insanely popular. I should know since I grew up during that time. Bleach is the only one that has been over hyped and was definitely not that popular outside of Japan. I would go so far as to say it's more of a "big 2" than anything else. But Bleach was at least more popular than the other mangas at the time. Naruto and One Piece set the bar a bit too high for Bleach. Anyway, these manga/anime were everywhere and even people who didn't know about manga/anime were aware of what Naruto was, even if it was a negative opinion, it was still very well known outside of the manga/anime circles. I will admit there wasn't a term like "big 3", until all 3 of them were either over or reaching their end. But they did dominate anime/manga for their entire duration.

They really pushed for Ichi the Witch that just released. Has the artist that worked on Act Age (who apart from working on it, has no relation to the writer). Aside from that, what gets me about Jump is how fast they cancel their manga recently. We have missed out on some great potential because they don’t let their manga “cook”. They expect them to hit the ground running and keep at the breakneck speed. And if they don’t, they cancel them with only a few chapters to wrap it up. Red Riding Hood, MamaYuyu and Martial Artist Asumi and Cinema are great examples of this. If they just let them build up their story and not cancel them, they would be manga a lot of people would look forward too.

@@Bo2Felo lol nah. We just entered Elbaf, between Oda’s breaks and depending on how long it’ll be that arc could end in 1-3 yrs min. Then there’s how many arcs remaining and how long they’ll be. We still have Blackbeard, the man marked by flames, cross guild, the world government, the Joyboy flashback, the god valley flashback, etc. Unless Oda’s just wants to end OP, Jan 2025 is not when it’ll end. That would ruin the series. Oda’s notorious for saying OP will end and then it not ending too. I’m not sure if he’s just not factoring in his breaks or if it’s that his inspiration gets the best of him so he ends up adding to the story. 🤔

I can't help but think that Gege rushed JJK's ending massively, the manga has barebone world building, no backstory on any of the clans, nothing on the International Jujutsu sorcerers except for Miguel, no backstory about the Heian era it's brimming with potential to go for another 5 years comfortably. IMO after Gojo's death we should have had timeskip of sorts with Sukuna bringing back the Heian era again and completely dismantling the Jujutsu society and then have adult Yuji beat him. Now we have the king of curses getting beat up by a bunch of High Schoolers.

Gege has never intended on telling a story about the plot points you've mentioned and he's made it very clear from the beginning. The lack of international sorcerers had been explained in story. And frankly, going into depth on that would probably make the story lose its focus. Similar to MHA and its heroes abroad. They aren't the focus, so they're irrelevant. The history on the clans is basic, yes, but does it really need to be anything more? Gege made it clear all the way back in Shibuya that Gojo was practically a one-man clan on his own. The Kamo clan has no direct connection to the main cast. The only one that got any depth was the Zen'in clan because was directly tied to the main cast. Kenjaku had already brought back the Heian era somewhat at the end of Shibuya, starting the Culling Games. You can criticize Gege for a lot of things, but he's not rushing by any means. And I think the past few chapters made it clear that this was always the plan.

They are trying so hard to boost One Piece with everything the franchise is getting while Manga like Kagurabachi get on their feet and cover enough material to get an Anime adaptation, but I don't know how long it's going to work. Would be pretty cool if they resolved the rights issue with Dragon Ball too but I think that's not going to happen and even in the best case scenario it'll only stay on V-Jump with Boruto. Lowkey only the return of the king Kubo and Bleach's hell arc can revitalize Shonen Jump now!

Times have changed. The magazine itself is probably going to faze out. While apps like Jump + continue to gain in popularity and will carry the brand in the future. It's going strong with franchises like Spy x Family, Dandandan, and Kaiju no 8.
