Star Wars fandom is possibly the one that has been toxic for the longest time, basically ever since the release of The Phantom Menace.

Assembly is a programming language to be simple and "assembled" directly into machine code. CPU's read the instruction which causes a branching path to be taken causing a specific circuit to be used,

10 years now. Hopefully YandereDev quits so we can get coders who ACTUALLY want to code the game, instead of being more interested in whether a 12 yr olds p3r!0d has started or not.

Dude imagine shoving the game into a floppy disk, i mean they hold 1.44MB and the game is 41KB i mean sure it will work but your floppy drive is going to move its read write head to load the file that it's reading. That's owning a Pentium 4 pc with a floppy drive. But i don't have any floppy disks.. all i have is a gateway gt5620 with a built-in SD card reader. And i have 2 sd cards. One being an adapter for micro sd. And the other being a 32GB SDHC Card (Even though i hate using computers that have 32GB storage drives, no joke. Except the 32GB SD Cards.)

The thing I hate most about fandoms comes specifically from fandoms stemming from video games. The amount of times I've watched a content creator play a game I enjoy only for their experience to be ruined by their chat/ comments being filled with toxic fans railing the creator about how they're "playing the game wrong" or how they should try to min/max and 100% the game the second they start playing it.

I met a Yandere Sim in November 2021. But Amai is still not there and there are still stupid reasons that I will add Amai later, but for now I will add shattering expectations genderbend in custom mode! During this time I managed to: create a group, create a wiki fandom, write 57 pages of my book

To be honest, the scp fandom doesn't get talked about enough. Their ships are EXTREMELY toxic, and no matter what you do you cant find a single person that doesn't support the toxic ships on there. I loved the scp fandom at first, the ships really pushed me away. Dare I say it its worse than the mha ships, and thats saying something.

I do embedded programming and had to convert a thermistor resistance to a temperature value in degrees C, with no floating point hardware [so no logf(), it had to run in a reasonable amount of time]. When you zoom in to the ADC code vs temperature, you get a weird curve at first, but close up it looks kind of like a parabolic equation. That can be evaluated quickly in fixed-point math with a few bit shifts for numerical stability, so I just sampled the curve at 256 points, made a 256x3 lookup with the coefficients as 32-bit signed integers. The MSB of the ADC code is used as an array index to decide which sets of coefficients to use. The performance gain was around 40x on a STM32 compared to the Wikipedia code which would have used floats on non-FPU hardware. All it cost is 3k of flash, which is okay for us since the chip has 256k. Don't use floats on Arduino (which are 8-bit chips), the performance penalty is even worse. Put your lookup table in progmem and use fixed-point math. I also sampled the theoretical function compared to my lookup table interpolation and got 0.12 degrees C error in the worst case, and 0.03 degrees C error in the average case.

You know, the thing is, attacking some guy's code is one of those things that makes me think you're the asshole no matter who they are. So every time someone does it, I'm inclined to think less badly of the guy making yandere sim, especially because you know people doing it mostly just are doing it to attack him. It's sort of like every time some little shitkid whines about Harry Potter because Rowling is a trash person, the effect ends up being I actually can't be upset at Rowling anymore even though I strongly dislike her views.

Consequently, the lack of limitation in today's industry has made devs inefficient and sloppy. The massive 100GB games would probably fit in way less storage but if memory is so cheat then why bother?

"i dont know what this code does" *literally says what its doing line by to the right* bruh also the example at 5:12 has a typo in a comment, should say save to $0012 the problem with assembly isn't that its hard to understand, its that it's mind-numbingly tedious
