Speaking of Super Metroid, can we appreciate how many cool categories that game has? There's classic 100% and Any%, and then Any% Glitch, but then you have lowest%, Lowest% Glitch, backwards bosses, mini bosses RTA, GT (a cheat code that give you must of the games items) Escape Ceres (the game's starting area) and Map Completion (which IS different than 100%). It so cool how many ways there are to play just one game!!

As someone who speedrun before. There is no game that is a 1 size fits all for speedrunners. It heavily depends on what the runner likes, find fun, and what works with their skills
