Nervous to start in America scribe because i don’t have medical experience

These are awesome but usually there’s less time to answer, seem a bit long
@afriendlycoffee-stainedtop99954 ай бұрын
The fact you had to make so many cuts honestly is concerning... also nowadays sorry, but you're not gonna get 7 minutes to answer "why PA" you're lucky if you get 2 minutes before they time you out or just stop listening. Seems like what got you in were high stats because your answer is way too long even with the fact you spliced it
@jesssmonge3 ай бұрын
Agree, I was thinking the same We have to be more succinct and condense our answers because we don’t have that much time

Im so sorry you had to go through a breakup while in PA school, it must've been so hard considering it was an 8 year relationship :( you showed such resilience and strength having to go through all that emotions. I hope you heal and continue to love yourself, and if you guys were meant to be, you'll find your way back together or yet meet another amazing man. Hope you continue to be well and achieve all your dreams.

I'm interviewing for Charles Drew University in LA next month and I'm so excited! Totally whatever you wanna do or if you're up for it, but personally I'd really like to hear about your experience there between the faculty and it's location!

I’m sooo nervous and intimidated 😢 I got hired with a virtual scribe company with zero medica experience except for medical classes at school for the past year . I actually surprisingly passed the training final and they sent my equipment. I’m now doing the epic emr training and it’s sooo intimidating knowing that most of my coworkers have experience in the nursing field 😢 I’m trying hard not to give up , I literally just started

Wow! Thank you for sharing. Very inspiring and informative. Did your personal statement say pretty much the same thing? I’ve heard that the two should match and oftentimes the committee is looking for the similarities in your answers and the personal statement.. what was your experience?

Hi Samantha! Recent subscriber here but I truly loved your pre-PA tips videos. I love how professional and authentic you are and you’ve inspired me to dig a little deeper and re-write my personal statement to come from a genuine place: at the end of the day, it’s not about work-life balance or salary or pursuing an attractive career in medicine. It’s about the people and how your aspirations and goals to treat people align with the profession. I’m super excited to get started on writing again! I’m in my mid-twenties and pursing PA school a few years out of undergrad. It’s made me self-conscious about my age and where I thought I’d be at this age. But I’m learning to love life, the people in my life, and not let my age prevent me from enjoying this beautiful life. I realize I’m still so young haha, but the negative thoughts and comparing myself to others’ milestones have gotten to me from time to time. I graduated with a BA degree in biology, French, and a public health minor. I spent a year after graduation working abroad in a French high school teaching 15-18 year olds English alongside their main English teachers. And I’m grateful to have traveled so much and lived so much. Now I’m working at a pct in a med/surg unit and an ER tech between a stand-alone ER and an ER that’s part of a hospital. And I came from a lab work background since I had the connections and started working in a lab at 15-16 years old doing specimen ordering and processing and eventually moving into testing and analyzing once I finished my degree and I was figuring out how to get a job in patient care. I’m so grateful for all these diverse experiences in healthcare and it’s made me realize how interconnected healthcare is. My younger sister is a current pharmacy student and we talk a lot about different parts of healthcare. Your videos are so inspiring and you have such a peacefulness and Grace about you! Looking forward to more PA content 😊

Dear Samatha! So happy to hear from you. Congratulations with finishing the clinical year!!! I got accepted to 3 Pa programs by using your advices . Thank you so much. Hi Yulia, that's amazing! Congrats on the PA school acceptances, I love to see it! Those are all very great questions, I will definitely touch on those topics in upcoming videos ☺. I take the PANCE on January 5th 2023... and I have a LOT of study tips to share, get ready to take notes haha. Hopefully it will help you as you transition to PA school! 📓

I love that you came back! Life is unpredictable and I hope that you continue to do well. Your videos were super helpful in my pre-PA phase and I’m now starting PA school in 2 weeks! I’m a non-traditional student who last was in school in the era of big binders and PowerPoint slide print outs. I really want to do well, so study strategies (particularly if you found any particular technology helpful) would be super interesting to me at this point. I’m also stressing about pharmacology. My sister (who recently finished NP school) has only talked me down half a dozen times in the past couple of weeks. I would love to hear it from you since I feel that you would be honest about the process!

Hey, thanks for introducing yourself. It's nice to meet you! Congrats on starting PA school in a few weeks! Woo, get after it! 🥳👏🏼 Those are great topics, I got you! I have a ton of study tips and strategies for didactic year, and will be sure to add a technology component and extra tips for the "harder" classes like pharm and anatomy. Keep an eye out, and good luck on transitioning in PA school! :)
