Im so glad you made this review because everyone raving about this book has me CONFUSED. Like somebody lyin' Honestly I REALLY wanted to like this but its like Deonn took everything that couldve been interesting, set it up, and threw it away over and over again. Also her going to school to literally NEVER learn made me actually so angry like what was the point

Micky Chambers is on my tbr! It sounded cute when I saw it at the library. For the blood gift, I heard the author signed for a duology but hoped for a trilogy so had to cram everything in when the publisher didn’t agree to a trilogy. I didn’t like how the romantic scenes in the blood trials. It was unnecessary to me so I didn’t pick up the second book.
