For the actively managed fund how much are they taking for their fees just for those funds? For the one you are managing the elevator core fund what is the fee for just that on AJ Bell are these index funds or etfs thank you for your content

Thanks for the appreciation.The fidelity world fund is a fund , the technical term is OEIC, not ETF. It simply tracks the MSCI world index. Charge is 0.12%+ aj bell platform charge(0.25%)+ £1.50 transaction charge. Jupiter India charges 0.99, jp Morgan 0.63%, others are in between

Hi Suman, a quick question - if I pick an ETF which has a low fund size compared to its competitors (for example VUAG 41k million vs SPXL 11k million) how easy/difficult would it be to sell them ETFs after years of investing? I would not want to be in a situation where my investment gets no/limited buyers or I would have to sell for a cheaper selling price because of a lower fund size if that can happen at all?
@SumanPaulDoc4 күн бұрын
theoretically there could a liquidity risk. however the chances of this to happen with large providers like vanguard,. ishares etc are extremely low. Best option is to choose the larger provider with cheapest fees.

The problem with investment through NRE is that I will paying 40% tax on gains and also India will charge 12.5% long term capital gains. INR has depreciated against GBP so that I will lose money. Also I have to pay transactions charges for remittance. So not really a good option

Hi suman. I have doubt regarding your returns percentage. Your total portfolio size is £30,981. It's showing that your returns are 37.47% which is equal to £3,711. In general 37.47% of your capital which is £30,981 is £11,608. Please clarify. Thanks
@SumanPaulDoc8 күн бұрын
Thanks for this really important question. I invest weekly ,not as a lumpsum. So actual return should be calculated using XIRR . However most UK platforms provide time weighted return on their account and not XIRR. That's why the calculations are not adding up if you add the percentage return to total contribution

1. You will be provided the option to either open a S&S ISA or General investment account (GIA). Click on the link which I have shared and it will become clear 2. You can withdraw without any problem.only issue is once the money goes out of ISA wrapper ,you won't get the £20k allowance for that year.if you simply want to spend the money then it's not a problem.

@niharshiplu8 күн бұрын
@@machmistimemories2661Let me give you a simple example, suppose you made a profit of 100 from your 20k investment(max limit for an ISA account for a Financial year),you can withdraw that profit without any tax implications as any profit made from an ISA investment is exempt from capital gain tax.Now if you decides to withdraw 1000 from your ISA account,your effective balance would become (20100-1000)=19100 and can't be replenished until next financial year,hence would loose the full potential of 20K starting capital for that year and need to wait for the next financial year.Hpoe it helps.

Anyone providing financial advice or promoting financial products in the UK must be authorised by the FCA. Under the Financial Services Markets Act 2000 (FSMA), it is illegal to promote financial products or services without FCA authorisation. The law mandates that any financial promotion must be communicated or approved by an authorised person. Many people do in India and uk in the form of finfluencers but these days SEBI in India and FCA uk is strict with these . Well wisher .
