I was almost going to give this video a miss for fear of it being click bait but glad I did not. As a prospective purchaser I was concerned about the weight of it but had been wondering how much that would matter given the weight is more centralised than it would be if you were talking about a heavy rim (like that BMW wheel). But it soulds like my concerns were founded. I am still using the XBox Elite rim which weighs in at less than 1 kg but it is completely worn out. Was considering the Clubsport flat rim V2 and the CSL equivalent but it sounds like the CSL is the better way to go if outright fidelity matters.

since you bought this how long has it lasted? any problems shortly after you bought it? any flex? bolts loose?

Ps5 with gt it's a different wheel but when on pc with assetto it's like a Truck wheel with no power steering despite fiddling with force spring etc..

Gotta disagree with fh5. It is much improved with wheel physics, but you still slide like crazy even with low power and good tires. I only ever enjoyed it on sticks

It's a shame that a "Best Racing Sims for Beginners" video starts right off with a recommendation for a game that only runs on Playstation. I mean who owns a console these days? They become obsolete 6 months after release and aren't even up to PC standards on launch day. My 4 year old PC is still more powerful than anything from Xbox or Sony. And it can play just about everything, including PS2/Xbox 360/PS3 and Switch games.

Need for Speed Carbon (2006) and Need for Speed Most Wanted (2004) are a pair that still hold out, and they still work on PC, which is where I now run them.

I just got this. With a 360 elite. 85 bucks. Got the wheel connected and display is an imac 2017 5k display. Flawless. Porting with Vivitar capture card.

Nice Video. I like racing games, it doesn't matter if it's pure arcade, simcade or sim. One of the better game that is missing here is GRID Legends. It's so fun with a steering wheel. I really wish more arcade racing games have steering wheel support (ex: Horizon chase 2, Hotshot Racing)

I hope I dont regret my decission as I heard of the DD being "better". I did hear that some prefer double belt regardless and that there are arguements for it.
