I just happened on this. I bought my Ember 191 about a month prior to this video and the dealership couldnt fix this simple blown fuse, exactly as the video shows. My first camping trip was without a working fridge. I then replaced this fuse and the fridge worked over several trips before it blew again. As far as I can tell, the fuse blows when the battery gets lower - when volts go down, amps go up. I also installed a 13.8 voltage regulator on the 12 volt fridge circuit as I found the unit to totally shut off during momentary voltage drops, possibly when the water pump kicks on.

Dang, lots of work to get to that fuse (and put everything back together). Hopefully it was some kind of weird electrical spike that blew it, and won’t happen again!

How sad you’re not the only one that has faced abundance of issues with their Ember. So I backed off and went with a Grand Design and no real issues other then black-out shades and warranty sent me out new ones and I replaced them myself. For the amount of money you spent on that rig it’s sad. No one should go through what your going through! As of today I hope it’s been worked out…Sadly no real Lemon Laws pertaining to this industry.

I just got done fixing my refrigerator before a trip next week. I could count on one hand the issues we had with our GD. Miss that thing. But I’m running out of fingers and toes with the Ember.

Congratulations !! I am in FL also and will soon be looking at Rving... From what I gathered online every brand has issues the key is to catch things like water intrusion early so it can be fixed before it damages other things. Good Luck !!! I think the larger the trailer the more the torque and twist causing problems inside

Thank you for the helpful video. Did Ember ever reach out to you after you published this video? Or offer you any kind of assistance after the fact?
@doanegarage10 ай бұрын
No. First person I talked to said “don’t know. good luck” when asking about some issues. Next person wanted me to pay out of pocket and to be reimbursed. Neither would have factory service done. And told me to take it to a dealer. AFAIK both left the company long time ago. Did get kicked out of their Facebook group tho. Can’t remember if it was before or after the video. Groups are full of folks with issues. Many worse off than mine.

What's you're thoughts on using at&t prepaid vs at&t contracts ? I asked a techy youtuber in the past about TracFone and he was concerned about getting detected easily with a pre paid. "I don’t recommend any prepaid phone plans because those often get blocked by the carrier when used in another device."
@doanegarage10 ай бұрын
I've no experience with ATT so i can't really say. But Verizon did catch my parents trying to swap a sim to an ipad. made them buy a plan just for their ipad. They do have the ability.

Was it used? They should be fixing all this for you on a new camper.
@doanegarage10 ай бұрын
You’re right. But scheduling appointments months out and being without our camper for the weeks or months it’ll take to fix its many issues is more trouble. I’d rather fix it myself now and enjoy as much as we can. Got more fixes coming soon.

@@doanegarage ah. Ok. Yea it can take awhile to get service at some places. It only took about a week for bishs to get mine back in after I bought it. I have an ember touring addition. Just minor things to fix after I tested it out. But honestly I had the same type of issues with my previous trailer after purchase.
