Some interesting facts. Each B-1B engine designed in the early 1970's is similar to the engine used in a single seat F-16 fighting falcon. About 30,000 lbs of thrust in full afterburner. Also while the B-1B engines are visually impressive and loud....the engine technology is antiquated by today's standards. Todays large commercial high bypass engines such as the GE NX provide twice the thrust of one B-1B engine in full afterburner. They are however quite a bit larger in diameter.

Went to a Nascar race years ago and before the race a B-1 did a flyover...let me tell you I thought that thing was gonna rip my heart out of my chest! Absolutely amazing, and the race was a total bore after that.

Pentagon: $700 billion budget. $.70 of every dollar goes -unaccounted for._ Real freedom is freedom from big government. Freedom from government corruption. Freedom from a police state. Freedom from false patriotism.

Este bombardero es una belleza. Fascinante. Sus motores. Sus líneas . Las alas y lo largo que es lo hace ver e genial. Hermoso avión junto con el SR-71. Me detuve a pensar. Los posquemadores son mejores que las turbinas.?
