I needed this laugh. My grandmother passed away at 93 on Monday morning. I was by her side at least as she left us. My world is turned upside down, she's been my life since I was 17 months old. Not sure what I'm going to do! I miss her.

I know someone who keeps an open phone line with his friend every day. Sometimes I hear the other person clear his throat, & this guy will take the phone out of his pocket & go "Did you say something? " The other guy says "no". Phone goes back in his pocket. I used to do that with one of my co-workers when we were forced to work from home during Covid-19. Just kept a line open whilst tapping away on our computers and kept speaking occasionally like we were in office. Before that most men seem to avoid phone calls. As a British guy calls were usually.
