Careful touching rubber cement with bare skin, most have solvents which are neurotoxins. Always use gloves, work near an open window, and have a fan blow or suck the airflow out the open window. Other than, your artwork is beautiful. Cheers!

Much skill and dexterity displayed for a very entertaining watch. With respect, I would suggest more detail on the back exterior (captain's quarters) which looks stark and unfinished, a stearing wheel, and some paint. Best wishes to you.

There are a lot of detail work here. How can someone know about the details of ships? Are there places with photos or graphs to get started? I used to make boats with wax and this seems very interesting.

So dried banana leaves, that have turned brown, are glued to sheets of cardboard. The sheets are then sliced to scale creating the planks that look exactly like wood. The whole model is cardboard, craft sticks/popsicle sticks, dowel rods and sheets of balsa or bass wood for the keel, railings, mast supports and stem portions? It's sounds like the model can be assembled for maybe 50 bucks in materials instead of the hundreds of dollars wanted by companies like Model Shipways. The only issue I have is that if you were to view the original ship from the distance in the video, you wouldn't see the texture in the sail material. For that reason I'd use paper instead of cloth for the sails. Beautiful models, well crafted. I'd be proud to display any of them!

Hi Alan, I've just found your channel its great watching your models appear but would you consider doing a video teaching us what you do to make a ship model, from materials to final build, it could be a small rowboat, thank you. God bless

You Sir, are a modeling genius ! That this beautiful creation is made from a few offcuts of wood and some banana leaves is amazing. Your skills are truly phenomenal to be able to create such exacting detail with the simplest of tools and basically scrap materials. How you can manage to create all your beautiful ships and boats, cars, bikes etc. with just a knife, glue, sandpaper and cloth just shows how astounding your skills are. I bow down to you in honour of your outstanding capabilities. Please continue to make and upload your great videos so we all can learn from a true master of their craft. Greetings from Liverpool, England 🇬🇧
