Contact the local EMC and propose that they offer to their members, the opportunity to purchase "green energy." Not all or nothing, but perhaps "Yes, as a subscriber, I agree to purchase "X" kwH of green energy at the rate of $ 0.45 /kwH." For example, I want to support green energy, so I agree to buy ten kwH each month. It will only cost me an extra $3.20 a month. 10units x ( 0.45 - 0.13) We're replacing 13 cent electricity with 45 cent electricity. Excess producers like you will receive retail credit for the power you produce, and Georgia Power will pocket the $ 0.32 difference to cover the cost to provide the distribution system, and cost to administer the accounting and billing.

Not sure I'm a big believer in the magnetic dipstick, especially after the 1st oil change. I'm sure it can't hurt, just not sure how much it does to extend the life of the engine. If there's sparkly dust in the oil, that thing isn't gonna catch more than 5% of it.
@Bacongrease004 ай бұрын
Stator just has a permanent magnet rotor and the more rpm the engine turns the move frequency and voltage it makes. Inverter unit takes that AC input, converts it to DC, then generates a sine wave with the IGBTs. I think your inverter board has something wrong with it.

Wen is a great brand. They are a US company that has been around since the 60's. They may use Chinese sourced parts in some products, but they do their due diligence and design most of their products in-house. No different than Apple or whatever other company that sources labor and parts from other countries but designs it in-house. I find it odd that so many people think Wen itself is a Chinese company. I guess because they make affordable products and the name sounds Chinese? Funny thing is, most of the competing "premium" brand products use the same sourcing tactics. Champion for example which is kind of a premium generator brand-name actually makes almost identical generators to some of Wen's models. Same engines and all. but you pay a premium for them for some reason. These Wen generators are a fantastic deal.

Hi, what is the Sta-Bil that you added to the gas? Is it the 360 Protection Ethanol Treatment and Stabilizer? Do you add Sta-Bil every time you refuel the gas or only the first time running the generator? And about the Lucas break-in oil, after the engine is broken in, do you still use this oil or do you change to a different oil? If change to a different oil, what brand and type of oil? And how many hours do you need to run to consider that the engine is broken-in? thank you.
@NoelBarlau8 ай бұрын
Lots of great questions here. I only run non-ethanol gas whenever possible, so I just use the standard red Sta-Bil in that. I put it in every 5-gallon can of gas each time I fill them up so they're always ready to go. I've found non-ethanol gas with stabilizer will last over a year if stored properly in a well-sealed container. If you're going to be running the generator a lot and the fuel won't be stored long-term, then you can skip the stabilizer entirely. I consider break-in to be complete at 50 hours, but there's no hard number on that. After your own personal break-in period you can switch to full synthetic of whatever weight is recommended by the manufacturer. I look at it as if the wear stops as soon as you put in the synthetic oil, so you want a good long break-in period to ensure proper seating of the piston rings.

Still running great, starts on the first pull every time. Granted, it doesn't get used very much, but it has been on a few camping trips and was used to charge a battery bank to power an inverter overnight. I have zero complaints regardless of how cheap it was when I bought it. I'd honestly take it over a Honda EU2000i, but not the EU2200i. But for the price, it's amazing.

@bottmar1 Жыл бұрын
Completely filling the whole hub full of grease is not good for any axle style. Spinning the wheel during greaseing will not blow the seal out nor push it out. Too much grease in the hub so full and leaving no pocket of air space for grease exspansion is what will push a seal or actually rip the rubber apart. This happens in vehicle axle housings where the housing breather gets plugged. Just plain do NOT fill axle hub full of grease and do not leave "end play" as so many so called repair suggestions state. Leaving end play allows the weight that is being supported by the bearing to concentrate on fewer bearing rollers. No end play assures weight is distributed more evenly among more rollers due to the tapered design of the roller style bearings. After packing bearings for 54 years and having NO bearing failures due to no so called necessary end play. ALL trailer axles come out with excessive free play and not enough grease. Guess what? Bearing failure! None of my trailers have bearing failure even after twenty five years.
