Your not kidding about how they were built better back then. The fact that these little tractors are still around 50 years later, and are still being used, really shows how well they were built, and they are relatively easy to work on also. I have a model 71, and I just rebuilt and painted a 36" blower for it, so we'll see how it runs this winter.

I have a traditional fireplace with brick.around it, but it doesn't have an opening to add a blower fan. Can I buy a blower fan and just place it on the step of my fireplace, that's right under the fire?

As also someone who sells firewood I'm kind of anal on the length I cut my rounds to which is 16" long. If you multiply (in feet) the height x the diameter x 3.14 it will give you the cubic feet of the round. For example I'll use a 24" round cut 16" long which equals 8.371 cubic feet. So for a cord of wood in rounds that's roughly (16) 24" rounds to equal a cord before I even split it. This gives me a good feeling in that I'm not ripping anyone off.

Bro this was a SALT BOMB of a recipe!!!!!!!!! I like where the flavor is headed and definitely see the relationship to the Claussen Pickle, but GD man I like salt and these were on the verge of inedible. I used whole cucumbers to boot! I just drained off 1/2 the brine after 2 days, added a bit of vinegar and some fresh water in hope the whole batch isn't a loss. For the people who actually made this and measured, and said it was good, you must have a distorted sense of taste...if you're reading this, adjust the recipe to increase vinegar slightly and decrease salt to at least 1/3 cup.

Is there different types of popcorn ? I wonder, the popcorn this year seems to be very dry and tough after you pop it. My brother said the same thing,he orders his popcorn from a different place, rather than here in Canada. Is there different grades of popcorn ? and which areas grow the best popcorn ? You seem to be very knowledgeable on corns, so maybe you know the answer ?

Just viewed this..excellent. Wood stove: gasket check, bricks, catalyst or "reburn tubes", doors latches. Here Downeast we separate the piles for shoulder season woods ( spruce/fir, low BTU hardwoods such as Paper Birch & Red MaPLE ), and winter hardwoods ( hard maple, beech, ash, yellow birch, oak). Kindling from carpenter friends, pallets, cedar. NO need for that moisture meter since the measures are too variable. I look and feel the splits: weight, cracks, color, time in the wood stacks. We heat 99% with 2 EPA stoves; no central heat. JMNSHO

I have a 562xp. I bought it 4 years ago. It got used quite a bit the first year and then less so. Then it sat for 2 years. I pulled it out of the shed a month ago and it fired right up. I do run husquvarana premixed fuel any time I am using it because I rarely have a big enough job to run through a full tank. Using the husky premix let’s me leave it in the shed without worrying about the condition it will be in 2 years from now when I need it again. I run a 24” bar. It’s a great saw.

Build a filter like this but with a garden hose attachment and you can just filter the water while ya fill it. Reuse it every summer. I wish I would have thought of this before I filled the pool this summer. 🤣

Given today's market; a large part of this video is like ancient history 😂. That statement is not meant to knock your video; I gave it a thumbs up. Speaking in generalities; a lot of your information is relevant. It's just that the battery market technology is advancing rapidly. I now have a 24" battery operated saw; and a bigger one is slated to come out later this year.

We heat with wood, period. No time for the cool H². Our stacks are simple, straight, traditional, spread out to dry and varied by species for the season. And when you need to get the wood, the H² is tough to get firewood easily. The interior of the round lovely pile will not dry well. The Holz is pretty, very Germanic.

Good scientific method. My experience is with landrace popcorn that I originally got from multiple sources. (I have developed lots of landrace varieties in various crops.) Some multi-colored commercial seed, some multi-colored from local growers, and some from store-bought yellow corn. I live in France so I doubt the commercial corn was hybrid. Three years into my experiments. I solved the lodging problem by double planting with my Earthway seeder. Still had two ears per plant. The other problem commercial growers have is that yellow popcorn dominates the market because of kernel size for movie theaters, even though white corn tastes better. I solved this by crossing mult-colored with the yellow corn. I got some yellow ears with good size, but most are a mix of kernel colors with medium size. I even got some transposon corn. (You can tell this by the stripes on the kernels - usually red.) This year I will do multiple plantings and am especially interested to see how the transposon corn does. I leave my corn in boxes in the living room where we have a wood stove so it is dry heat. When it shucks easy, it is ready. Two months maximum. Good luck in your further experiments!

This was a plugged idle jet together with a partly plugged main jet. Clearing the main jet alone would make it run, but with surging/hunting. To clear the idle jet, poke a very fine wire through it. A bread wrapper wire is probably too big. A strand of copper wire from a lamp cord or a bristle from a wire brush will clear the idle jet. This had nothing to do with the float valve. I didn't see him do much that would have fixed this. I didn't see him poke anything through the jets.
