My memories are priceless of sitting on the floor, looking up at the radio as if it was a television , and reacting to the stories and later talking about how surprised we were about the endings. No cursing and no sexy storylines. Just great clean fun. Those were the days! Thank You God for those wonderful memories. 🙏

I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!!! I used to listen to it late at night, in the dark, by myself and it was AWESOME!!! I was 9 or 10 years old and I would curl up in my bed and listen as long as I could stay awake. The only problem was the frequent and numerous commercials which would inevitably result in me falling asleep while waiting for a commericial segment to begin and the show to resume. I was so thrilled to re-discover the CBS Radio Mystery Theater decades later... AND WITHOUT COMMERCIALS!!!!!!!

1 December 2024 - What a great collection of stories to kick off December. Listening from Central Kentucky, where the horses are prancing through the first “sticking” snow of the season. Happy Holidays, all!

My only criticism would be... the use of a word. I'm surprised they already used it that way back then... But apparently, according to this, they did so I only have myself left to criticize... 🙂🙃🙂

This is horrible. It reminds me of the sounds my ex-wife would make combined with her tv soap operas while stomping around the house complaining about where her children were and other nonsense that I would tune out and zzzzz…… Zzzzzz… Never slept so well.

I used to listen to War of the Worlds on The KNX Drama Hour 1070 AM , Los Angeles in the 1980s and 1990s. I taped it on cassette tape in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003. KNX discontinued the Old time Drama Hour in 2003.
