When you say it doesn’t get to light on the front with a 5 rotary cutter is that with the loader and bucket on as counter weight or does it do okay even without the loader attached. Just curious as to it’s capabilities. And would a 600lb 5 footer be a good match. Thanks
@MurphyBrothersTradingCoАй бұрын
I'm riding down the road without many details, but I would stay standard duty on 5 ft cutter on the MT225S. If you need a heavier cutter, go with 4 ft or larger tractor... just my opinion. My half ton pickup will pull my 30 ft gooseneck, but not as many miles without service as my 1 ton truck or near as easily. Catch my drift? So sorry for the delay in responding. Chris

I looked at it and sat on it in person. Overall, I was very impressed. My only complaint was the hydrostat. Just not enough leg room to operate the foot pedals. The shuttle has much more leg room. Much more comfortable.
@MurphyBrothersTradingCoАй бұрын
I still prefer the hydro, and I am a big guy as you can see in the video. That is a WHOLE LOTTA ugly, right there! HAHA. That is the reason LS makes them both ways. Some folks prefer HST, some like shuttle. The Lord made us all unique. Thanks for the input. Come buy one from me if you haven't already. Thanks, Chris Murphy

I just wanted to thank you for the detailed video. I just traded my 8 year old cabbed 3550 PST for a 2024 cabbed 6075 PST. My 3550 never gave me a lick of trouble and the only complaint I had was the paint sucked. That tractor did everything I asked of it and it'll make a good first tractor for somebody else. I'm hoping the 6075 lives up to the legacy of it's smaller brother (and that Mahindra fixed the paint issue). That said, even though my dealer is awesome when it comes to service, he's really never gone over my tractor (old or new) like you just did with this one. I learned a lot watching this video and I will be saving it for future reference. Thanks again for putting out such a comprehensive video. And for anyone considering buying a Mahindra, I can tell you from experience that 8 years ago I got a very reliable tractor, and got a LOT more tractor for the money than if I'd have splurged on green paint. I'm looking forward to the same type of reliable service from my 6075.

Would make a great yard tractor
@MurphyBrothersTradingCo2 ай бұрын
HAHA, you must have a big ole yard. That tractor will weigh about 7000 lbs with the loader installed. Take a look at the 1600 series. They are available in 26, 35, and 40 hp (1626, 1635, & 1640) for more of a compact sized tractor. These 4500 series mentioned in the video are some big ole heavy hosses. That transmission, rear differential, and rear axle housings are basically the same as some of the IH tractors my granddaddy sold at his IH place in the 1960's. They are still one of our most popular selling tractors. We have some great finance deals on ALL the Mahindra models this month!

Cash prices are higher than last year, but only about like the normal yearly increase. However, we now can offer a finance deal that is out of this world. In July 2024, they are offering to qualified buyers, 0% for 84 months in lieu of the cash rebates. If you must finance, this is certainly the way to go. CASH is always the cheapest way to buy anything. Back to the price increases, I am 3rd generation tractor dealer. Tractors have gone up 3 to 6% every year... in good times or bad. My history is with IH, CaseIH, Kubota, Yanmar, Case Construction, LS Tractor, and Mahindra. Outdoor power like mowers and handheld stuff is about the same way.

Is the Mitsubishi engine ever put in anything else
@MurphyBrothersTradingCo3 ай бұрын
Mitsubishi is a huge engine manufacturer. They also build a bunch of other machines and tech. I am not aware of what all tractors run the Mitsi engine, but I am sure a quick google search might help you out. Here is just a short list of what runs this brand engine... Mitsubishi Diesel Engine Industries & Applications Generators for marine and industrial applications. Power trains for excavating or construction equipment. Water pumps. Compressors. Ship propulsion systems. Agriculture equipment.

Not hydraulicly. You can adjust the right side lift arm and both lift arm pin holes. You should look at the new MT242E or HE. I LOVE the new Yanmar engine. What size an type are the rear hydraulic valves?
@MurphyBrothersTradingCo3 ай бұрын
Most all manufacturers have gone to using a standard 1/2 inch iso coupler on rear valves. There are 2 separate valves with 2 levers. There are 4 outlets on the rear. I can't remember if either will detent to constant flow or float. Hit me back next week as a reminder and I will check. Thanks

Also do you use the throttle pedal on the right hand side do move?
@MurphyBrothersTradingCo3 ай бұрын
I HATE foot throttles. In my opinion, a tractor's ground speed should completely rely upon gear. If you don't run diesel engines at enough rpm, especially Tier 4 emissions and newer, they create more soot to burn off. Plus, your hydraulics, PTO, cooling, air conditioning, steering, etc are not functioning at rated speed. I only use my foot throttle to help compensate for an RPM drop when running a heavy PTO application or driving down the road. When doing field work, set that hand throttle at what is required for the task and let'r eat.
@Nobody-c6g3 ай бұрын
Great video. So with the power shuttle, if I’m doing loader work, it should be much easier back and forth? Kind of like a Yanmar?
@MurphyBrothersTradingCo3 ай бұрын
I am not familiar with the Yanmar tractors at all, but all "power shuttles" or as Deere calls them "power reversers", in TRACTORS usually work similarly. You can shift F/R without clutch if you would like. You can also use the clutch if you desire. I know on my MT573, I do it both ways. When trying to "inch" up to something or backing the drawbar into my Bush-Whacker MD144 hitch, I can control better with the clutch. I hope that answers your question. If not, feel free to give me a call. The MBTC office number is 662-720-0022. Ask for Chris. Thanks!

Check park brake. Hard to diagnose without seeing the tractor. I suggest taking it to your dealer if park brake isn't the issue. I THINK they also have a service/maintenance indicator beep when something is due to service. Has to be reset after service is performed. This procedure is in manual.

Im trying to figure out if I should get a backhoe for my YT 359 or just get a mini excavator. It is mostly going to be used in the farm. Videos like this make me wanna get an excavator ! Great review .... keep em coming
@MurphyBrothersTradingCo5 ай бұрын
A real excavator made for commercial work and backed up with service like the Yanmar, and most of the large brands, will certainly out perform any backhoe attachment designed for any tractor. It will cost more money, but you are building equity in the excavator vs just hoping you have enough work to justify the expense of the attachment. Usually the attachment backhoes will bring about 50% the original cost if that when you trade or sell. My suggestion is go excavator if you can fit it in your budget. Feel free to call us! We have a couple of Yanmar SV40 units that we got a HUGE deal on. These two units are roughly $30000 less than MSRP!!! Thanks, Chris Murphy 662-720-0022

We don't offer the 2600 series at my place. I MUCH PREFER the 1600, 4500, and REALLY dig the 5100 series. Of course, the bigger and nicer the tractor is, the more it'll cost you... except for the 4500 series. The 4500 series does miss out on some of the nicer features in hitch, transmission, etc. As far as the bad knees, the 1600 will be the units closest to the ground. Not near as far to get up on and not as far to fall off! Haha! Ain't laughing atcha, laughing with ya! I stepped into an excavator today and messed up an ankle! No pain, no gain... I guess???
