Mahindra 4540 and 4550 tractor walk around video

When we sell a tractor, we always do a "walk around" with each tractor. We do this to let customers know where to perform daily checks, grease, and basic operation techniques. This series of videos is intended to refresh that information for our customers. Several more of this type of video is posted on our channel. Look for your model and check it out. From the bell housing back, it is just like an old tractor my grand daddy sold at the IH dealership in the 1960s. That is the same basic design that brought Mahindra to the dance. Still one of the best.

Get the 4550! Seriously, I was looking at both models just like you. I promise you, the 4550 is worth the extra cash. This tractor is everything it is promised to be.

Unless load cycle times are more important or flat platform or smaller chassis for hauling or limited storage area. I'm just like you and like a bigger tractor, but different folks have different needs. That's why most all brands have a 40 to 60 hp in a compact chassis and same hp in utility chassis sizes. I appreciate the video. I bought this 4540 2019 and was never given a walkthrough. Thanks. I got a question though, I goofed and was checking the oil on the flat part at the base of the shift levers. I was checking it with a dowel. Well, I dropped the dowel into the hole. Where can I see info on taking the cover at the base of the shift levers off to retrieve the dowel? I realize I’ll have to get a new gasket and set the torque. If I can get the plate off my concern is getting the levers back in the right place for shifting.

Unless you are experienced with this, I highly recommend seeing your dealer. Other than that, your dealer might show you a breakdown of the assembly and service manual for specs. If you are close to us, we can help.

Hate to ask you to shine a flagpole..but say you were 59 and had bad knees (trying to find bone clic to take my uhc insur) would you lean toward a 2600 a 4500 or maybe 1600 series? Look8ng for ease of getting up into operator seat..# handles 40hp+ and hydrostatic

We don't offer the 2600 series at my place. I MUCH PREFER the 1600, 4500, and REALLY dig the 5100 series. Of course, the bigger and nicer the tractor is, the more it'll cost you... except for the 4500 series. The 4500 series does miss out on some of the nicer features in hitch, transmission, etc. As far as the bad knees, the 1600 will be the units closest to the ground. Not near as far to get up on and not as far to fall off! Haha! Ain't laughing atcha, laughing with ya! I stepped into an excavator today and messed up an ankle! No pain, no gain... I guess???
