Thank you for the concrete paint trick FK, very helpful indeed! In FS22, the trick that made its rounds around release was to use a straight subsoiler to scrape out silage that was stuck in the bunker walls. It worked, but it was a real pain to do. I like this much better 👍🏻

Hey is it possible to grant admin to someone on a regular, NOT dedicated server? Cuz there are a lot of annoying permission issues in FS25 multiplayer, like stupidly enough, if you grant contractor status, you can move around their power washer, but you can't use it to wash vehicles. Also can't hire AI helpers into other farms' vehicles, not even just to make them drive to a destination.
@FarmerKlein19 сағат бұрын
Dedicated or rented server they are one in the same as far as permissions and gameplay are concerned. Its just with a dedicated you have the setup to install and configure the server so ya you can give anyone y ou want he admin password of the session and they can go admin anytime they login. They are not auto admin, so you must elevate your session on each login. You can not make someone admin with out them knowing the admin password.

couldn't you have pulled a trailer behind the forage harvester and not need to make it a team effort?
@FarmerKlein19 сағат бұрын
In one take I did this but that might not have been in the final edit. The forage harvester I used and the trailer I used in the video do connect. In the past not all forage harvesters connected to all trailers. I tend to not do things like that as I try to emulate how I see acutal farmers doing things so for many things it might be possible but in my mind I think why would you, cause its not how its done IRL or at least how I have seen it done.

Some mods are not available on the server
@FarmerKlein19 сағат бұрын
Some mods are not compatable with servers. Within each mod there is a moddesc.xml file. Within that file should be an entry to define if the mod can or cant be put on a server. I think if the line is missing its evaluated as false also. Sometimes just changing it to true or adding the line with a true value will work and other times no. When things do not appear on the server always check the log file to see what the server had to say about it.

@FarmerKlein A correction to what you say at 28:50. Cows will reach 100% Health and therefore reproduce if you only feed them hay or silage. I'm positive that the xml file have food effectiveness threshold set at 75% as in fs22, and as hay and silage alone is above that they will reach 100% health and reproduce. Productivity at 100% must be the same bad design/bug as in FS22, if that is the case it is still only 80% effective in output if fed hay as top food.

I just found you and I'm already addicted! The quality and depth of your videos is 10/10! I can't wait for your TMR video, because I can't keep my cows full with TMR! I only have 30 cows and the amount of TMR they consume is nuts, and my method of making it just isn't cutting it, as I feel like I'm spending all my time make it, so I'm curious as to how you deal with a large number of cows. Thanks so much!

So the maintenance costs are the same for both small and large productions. Someone at Giants aint thinking too clearly. Where are the animations on these productions. These devs are so far behind the modders who had animated productions like 7yrs ago. Buying the bigger bakery may sound good but it wont be making you any products if you cant keep up with the input. A small grain mill just wont work with the bigger bakery at $14k more because you just wouldnt be producing enough flour. So if you buy the big bakery you will need the big grain mill and also the crops to feed it.

Question... We are going to have the nonsense of the requiring mod for maps?
@FarmerKleinКүн бұрын
Its not nonsense its providing modders the appropriate credit they deserve. In Farm Sim's of past a modder who build say a fence pack might get 50K downloads and in that collection of downloads there may have been one or more map makers who use their fence pack in their map. They submit the map to the giants mod hub, reference the modder for credit of the fence but thats it. Say the maps made using that fence pack get 1M downloads total. The creator of the fence pack only has 50K to his name yet his fence has been downloaded over 1M times as a result of being a part of a map or maps. Giants provides a few pennies on the thousand download for quality high rated mods. Thus the fence back creator wasnt getting his due. By flagging the fence pack as a required mod they are getting their due by requiring anyone who downloads a map that uses the fence pack to have also downloaded the fence pack stand alone. He gets his due plus he is then incentivized to produce more than discouraged at the low downloads.

Storing vs selling vs distribution. What’s the benefits of each?
@FarmerKleinКүн бұрын
At some point Ill do a video but here is the jist. Storing = pallets spawn and you transport them for sale or to go to other productions. Selling = output is auto sold at the top of the hour. In 22 it wasnt the current price but it was a the average annual price or some formula based on that. Distribution = In the event that a productions output is another productions input it is sent to that production at the top of the hour. This relies on the player owning both productions.

Hi FK. Excellent content again. The fact that cows won´t produce milk in those 3 pens is unreal. Or maybe, maybe the cows don´t produce milk because they don´t like the accomodations. Maybe that´s the problem... we have fancy cows in FS25. ;) Giants is dropping the ball. Already reported 11 bugs... 11. Normal ingame stuff, i´m not looking for problems. At this point, as someone who bought 1 year pass, i feel that i´m paying to do the devs work. Take care FK. Keep up the good work.

Off topic for this video, (BTW, great detail for all things cow) but how much manure/slurry/digestate does it take to fertilize a hectare (or acre)? I haven't found any FS-tuber that has gone Indepth regarding that.
@FarmerKleinКүн бұрын
I am not a numbers person. I dont really dive into how much do you need for X or whats the lowest cost way to do Y. I can tell you its alot and at least with slurry it dumps the product on the ground literally. If you go no where and acivate the slurry applicator you can unload the whole thing with out moving so the amount taken will depend on how godo you are with no overlapping, does your tractor have the power to go the max speed possible or is it going slower because slurry is coming out at a specific rate per second regardless. Organic fertilizer is not as concentrated as mineral/chemical fertilizers so you go thru a lot of it. But to that end I will have a video on various fertilization methods at some point and will cover this to some degree but I wont have a chart showing amount needed for various types based on a specific field size.

We've got on server the cow barn with Feeder machine, and it bugs, it made 100% slurry, but no manure, but my mate placed manure bunk, instead of extension, Got slurry out, replaced manure bunk with extension, and loaded with straw to 100% and waited few days, straw went down, but no slurry no manure been produced... :/ so it is in general bugged out... perhaps server doesn't help...

Doing every step is a bit too much for me. I turn off periodic plowing and usually stones and if I’m feeling lazy, lime. So my standard is (lime), (cultivate), plant, (fertilise), weeder, roller, then 2nd fertilisation the following month . So no cultivation if the planter/seeder can sow directly, and 1st fertilisation after planting only if the planter/seeder has no onboard fertiliser. And lime only when needed. That way I get a 98% yield bonus which is close enough for me. If I mulched initially as well, then of course it would be 100%. Weeding after planting means they never appear. I’ve never had to use a herbicide. Takes a while but I lease equipment that suits the field size and buy secondhand or new when income allows, which is usually through cows initially since they keep the money rolling in year round.

Then the two steps I outlined you had to do to enable the dev console and all the commands was not done or was not done fully. There are links to videos related to enabling dev move and adding a '-cheats' to the startup of farm sim to fully enable the dev commands. once those are done it will work regardless of where the PC version came from. Steam, Epic, Digital download or Physical disk.

there's also an issue with the small factories and pellets being put in, the factories will take the whole pallet but most of the Productions will only accept less than 500L so you're losin' inventory. MrSealyp found that out on 1 of his Videos, I watched. hearin' about the silos that seems like a good work around though.

Your numbers are a little off and the situation is actually worse than you projected. Remember, that 100% is 100% BONUS, not 100% of your total. This means that if you didn't do any of the improvements, you don't get 0 crop, you get half of your crop, or 50%. You actually need to divide all of the bonuses that the different improvements get by half to get the "real" number when you are looking at the total amount of crop. For example: Say you got 10,000 L of crop (for easier math). You don't lose 2.5% of that 10,000 L if you don't mulch or roll, you lose 2.5% of the BONUS. The bonus (at 100%) would be 5000 L. So, 2.5% of 5000 L is only 125 L. Based on your math above, what you assumed was the lost for not mulching OR rolling, is actually what you would lose if you removed both of them. That means individually, they are only worth around $162 each. In my opinion, there is no way either rolling or mulching would ever be worth the cost of the equipment. I hope this helps a little. Otherwise, great video and thank you for taking the time to do this! :)
