Hey there, I have the same issue. I tired blasting the area with my blower but it did not dislodge any dust. Can you supply some instructions on how exactly you dislodged the dust with the can of compressed air? Maybe a detailed vid showing it. Your method is preferable to a complete teardown, which appears to be the only other option.

You could try tweezers, but I just used the Q-tip and kind of scraped the dirt until it was loose enough, and then turned the vacuum upside down and blew it with a can of compressed air. Good luck!

Could you not simply remove the bottom panel and work the blower out. You work blind but with cameras you can see a lot

There is NO NEED to remove the cup holders or the glove box. ONLY the lower cover needs to come off, and then one screw releases it. You guys went around your elbow to get to your ass... Other than that, good vid.

I changed my 2006 heater blower motor heater blower module I replaced all the fuses even though they were not bad we're not bad and my heater still don't turn on I even replaced the center dashboard cluster gauge. My battery has high voltage 12.47 so it's not bad..is there anything else that would make my Heater blower not turn on I noticed when I put everything back put everything back I had the car in the running position and the heater on in the high position when I went to put the wire back in the heater blower spun for a couple seconds then went back off

Remove the panel at the bottom where the foot light is at. 2 T20 screws hold it. Then you have access to the blower motor. Unplug the power cable, lift up the notch and rotate clockwise. It literally takes 4 minutes to take out. There is literally no need for all these unnecessary steps. Like literally no need at all. I seriously doubt that there is a difference between the non LCI and LCI model like mine to matter. Look up Vehicular DIY, it’s literally a 5 minute job to take out the blower motor and 5 minutes to put it back on and be done with it. You don’t even need to take out any vents or anything. Only thing you remove is the bottom panel where the passengers feet are resting that has a light and a 12v outlet if yours is equipped with it. Unplug them after taking off the 2 T20 screws and you have access to the blower motor. Unplug the power connector of the motor, lift up the notch that’s close to the firewall side, and rotate clockwise. After all that the motor is out. So many unnecessary steps in this video it’s unreal.

I have the same problem with my 528i BMW 2009. I don't have any buttons inside glove department or on the right arm rest compartment. I tried using the key as well on the outside of the trunk. I'm going to try the method of turning the key to left and apply pressure on the trunk to see if opens. Any suggestions?
