Thank you! I didn't think about twisting the power line coming from the panels... BUT it worked completely... I have been dealing with the periodic birdies on HF since 2019! I even tried torroids... maybe not the correct mix though...., but the twisting really worked.... 73, Julius K4NAL

Will nbe change according to battery charging voltage..or could there be other reasons? OUT looks “normal “. Battery voltage was when I checked was between 26.0 and 27.8.

Nice to see another ista breeze in flight. But Yes unfortunately the 120v 1500w on sliding contacts in the slip ring will result in a burnt out slip ring, so to avoid any damage i have learnt from people all over the world that have turbines on youtube to try and avoid braking and build a good dumpload or i have seen a guy tie an anker to the tale holding tthe tubine out of the wind.

I parked an MG rental car at a carpark with solar on the roof of the car park, the remote control for the car refused to work ( I couldn't lock the car), I changed the remote battery thinking that was the issue... But even with a brand new battery it still didn't work. Luckily I managed to start the car and moved it away from the solar panels. I'm assuming the charge controller created interference.

When I hook this system to my 48v system the turbine will spin up fast enough to make good a.c. current before the rectifier. When hooked up to my 12v battery, the turbine bogs down and struggles to keep voltage up. I hope that when adjust the XY CD60 then connect the charger straight to the battery it will act better.

For example if you are charging a battery and the battery is full the wind tubine power is auto diverted to a dump load at the full voltage of the battery to protect the battery and then back to the battery when it needs charging again

Thank you. I have solar-charged lighting in the equipment shed (riding mower, leaf blower, etc, etc and storage for treated gasoline). The lighting is used, at most, twice a day for 20 minutes each time - time to get equipment out of the shed to do yard work and time to put that equipment away when the work is done. The switch for the lights is a 60 minute wind-up timer which ensures the lights can NOT be left on. In extensive testing (I'm a statistics geek ;-), a PWM controller (EPEver LS1024) was compared to an MPPT controller (EPEver XTRA1210) - both of those can be monitored and the data collected by a computer or with the EPEver eLog01 recording device. Because the MPPT controller's idle current (the Brits say "self consumption") is higher than that of the PWM controller's (roughly double) and the location of the 30 watt solar panel is not optimal, in several days recording of the lighting usage and subsequent re-charging, at the end of the day the PWM controller delivered more charge to the battery - and that's what is important: how much power is delivered to the battery. If you add a better heatsink to one of the small PWM controllers, you need to use plenty of heatsink compound (thermal grease) to maximize heat transfer from the controller's metal back to the added heatsink.

@Baumschubser711 ай бұрын

When i connect only two wires it starts spinning and It shows that is charging but when i connect all 3 it slows down (no brake) and only charge up to 50w when outside are strong winds, no matter how strong they are the turbine is not spinning fast enough. The brake works fine and I had winds where it came active. I've tried to disconnect two wires, it starts spinning very fast when i connect the other two it still charging good for another minute then it slows down again for no reason, no break active. Thank you in advance. I have struggling for 1 month and still can't fix the issue.

It is a pity, but almost all such devices makes such RF noises, because build on some pulse principle. As HAM I would not go to buy any without a kind of spectrum analyser test. I have a crazy Idea, can you make the regulated output of the wind charge controller as an input of a solar charge controller, coz Im planning this as an input for my hybrid solar off-grid inverter charge controller, because in that inverter not much power is wasted because when the inverter sense that the battery is full the generated energy is then be used first by current house consumptions and wind turbine have a lot of wasted energy going into the dump load

It will probably work. However, with losses. I would go straight from a wind charge controller to the battery.

I don't see a problem with that. A dump load is just a resistor of 1 or two ohms.

There's lots of things you can use as a dumpload as long as it is reliable. Many people use a low voltage DC water heating element that goes in the water heater.
