I think I struggle mostly because in the past several years coming off a crummy antidepressant called Effexor left me with many withdrawal symptoms and at the end a lot of anger that apparently I've never dealt with. How can you be a Godly witness when you are angry and all you see are a bunch of devils running around pushing agendas on you. I've been probably works oriented my entire life sticking with celibacy and repentive over any sin and you might say living a moral life and certainly had the joy and the excitement when I was first a Christian and for many years but somehow disappointment settled in along with childhood pain catching up and now I'm at a loss🤷♀️

The problem is that there aren’t a lot of women that have enough quality to motivate us to be what you’re saying. I think to call it self-sacrifice is disingenuous. The reward is that you get a beautiful, feminine wife who trusts you, respects you, and wants to have sex with you. And parents your children well. Guarantee this guy wouldn’t be sacrificing for some woman he wasn’t attracted to.

This is so helpful. I teach my kids all the time to be thankful for all the things we see around us, but it's so easy to fall into the trap of worry. This is a good reminder that worry is the opposite of trust and thankfulness.

I have been struggling to feel content with certain aspects of the life I chose for he last 8 years. I have been a believer for the last 3.5 years. For the 1st year roughly as a believer I was content with my circumstances. The last 2.5 years to present I’m right back to where I was before Christ. I’ve been told that some stuff you just have to suck it up and due to your own choice it is what it is. I’ve been praying for God to change my heart, but it seems like more and more everyday, I need to just deal with it and accept sometimes you chose wrong in life and Christ or not you have to sacrifice your happiness because it’s Gods will is well Gods will. I would hope by now I would be “upgraded “ to some degree and not struggle with these thoughts and moods everyday. I pray often and daily for my heart to change and trust God knows best. But based on my circumstance, I don’t see how God can do anything other than change my heart, but what I’m getting at is maybe my heart is changed and I need to find a better way to deal with it. I do read daily, go to a weekly Bible study, and pray daily. Few people who know my circumstance have suggested I will always suffer from this and that it’s just how life goes with or without God. I just feel so ashamed I even still have these thoughts, but I know exactly why I do(my choices in life). At this point I feel I need to direct all my prayers at God changing the person in my life that gives me discontent also not just me. If I’m a true believer would I really still have a conundrum like this? I love these discussions it feel so far below your guys level of faith. I can’t help but feel it’s because yall made better life decisions than me and I just have to suck it up and give it to God. Any input is appreciated, God bless

There’s a good book John piper did for your situation if you’re up to read it it’s called desiring God it talks about having/pursuing joy in Jesus it sounds like that can help you. But in the mean time understand seasons can last years or months or weeks David in the Pslams was in tears and agony at times so take comfort in the psalms and endure the trials while doing so I know it’s not easy but that’s all we can do.

Good question. I thank God every morning for things in my life even when I don’t really feel it. Most morning I do t feel it. I feel like if you do it begrudgingly then it’s not real to God, but atleast your trying to be thankful.

That's the problem, feelings....we need to follow God regardless of our feelings...You will experience a joy the world doesn't give and thankfulness will come and go. This place is not our home, we are fish out of water but some day all these negative feelings and sin will be gone!

One of the only issues I see with this video is that it's not all black and white, all sin is isn't black and white. Some people really need psychological help, either because of addictions or past trauma. This could be one of the ways it can help a person to live for God more and be holistically well. I know the guy asked "biblically speaking" on how do we fight sin , but again it's not black and white. Also I'm a person that cast out demons, I've been doing it for over 2 years with people I know, I know most Christians don't even believe that Christians can have demons, but they don't realize sometimes it's not a sin issue it's a demonic issue, you can continue Killing sin all you want but if there's a demon you have to cast it out in the name of Jesus Christ. I have seen so many people set free from this, because the thing is you can discipline yourself all you want but if it's a demon in your flesh it needs to come out.

Philippians 2:12-13 says, "Work out your salvation," which means God works in you through your obedience empowered by the Holy Spirit to transform your desires. This change doesn't happen while you're passive or idle, waiting for God to act without your involvement. Instead, God uses your active obedience-even when it feels difficult or when you don’t feel like doing it-to reshape your desires. Be faithful to the things God has already called you to do, and through that, He will gradually transform your heart to align with His will. It's like a starter motor: your obedience provides the initial energy, and then God’s power takes over and continues the transformation. Thank you soo much for this word blessed beyond measure

Amazing how he 😂 professes the right order of succession in this video ! I heard him state that will we will be caught up in the air to meet him and went right to the white thrown judegement, implies they are one and the same thing. John often contradicts himself and the bible, He has a very twisted and extreme view of Calvinism. He changes the meaning of election, mystery, predestination as opposed to free will. God offers all who excepts offers to accept his plan of salvation, which means shunning false doctrine, because their is only one gospel. When you accept the Great Commission you will want to do further only the gospel, your fate will be what the Lord wants for you. That is what true evangicals do. That is not what MacArthur does, He is an evangelist for the political cult/religion of MAGA and has endorsed him, it is idolatry in it worse form, look up his net worth it is over 11 billion dollars, my guess is he wants more ta breaks for his scam, oh now what how he will not allow more comments when more people who know speak up

One cannot GROW in Christ. YOU were made spiritually PERFECT > at the moment of Belief. (and surrender) Nothing YOU DO > can make you MORE PERFECT. This is GOD's proclamation. REST in your perfection. If CHANGE is needed > Christ will do it for you. REST.

Hey brother ,Praise the lord. I was too in this confusion for a long time. But later God revealed to me through different pastors and youtube videos Hope this Helps. I would like to answer in 2 Paragraphs brother 1) Once you put your faith in Jesus Christ . It is like a new baby born into the kingdom of God. Your Father is Jesus now. No Matter of Good works or Bad works can change your title as a son or daughter. Even a earthly parent would never reject his son or daughter even if does the greatest wrong doing son is always son. They would always want their son to come back and live a good life. But when you do good works our heavenly father's heart rejoices and when we do wrong he punishes (sickness, accidents, jobs marrriage ) to bring us back to him. I believe our God is a merciful God he will do his best to change our all of our sinful desires and make like him one day until our end. And one more thing we love him we because he loeved us first .When we start doing everything out of love and gratefulness there wont be striving only stewardship So, Imagine in this entire world there are just 1000 people living .And there are grocery stores and restaurants run by robots alone. No person can get a job anywhere and everyone is starving to death. Suddenly out of nowhere a company establishes and tells everyone is welcome to join the company and work and the owner is God. What would happen is everyone would rush to get interviewed .And everyone starts working there with full energy no one would care how much they get paid. Everyone would work there with a grateful Heart and love towards the owner. Ur eyes must be on Jesús alone. Sometimes even if we are saved we wouldn't feel like obeying God's Commands. But as the Bible says we should work out of salvation push to do God's commands. It's like a starter motor: your obedience provides the initial energy, and then God’s power takes over and continues the transformation
