Thank you for the message! My anxiety is often coming as self-blame regarding my procrastination. I always feel I must've messed up due to my procrastination and that is exactly why I put myself in this anxious situation. Recently, I've known more and more that we cannot mess up God's plan. And yesterday my mom asked me if I truly believe if I don't procrastinate everything will unfold exactly as I expect, which made me realize how prideful I am to think this way.

I am a listener from Ethiopia Jonny, greatly enjoy your content and excited for your book. What has really sunk in my heart is the fact that whatever grabs our heart and attention is what we store and whatever we are storing has our thoughts. If we are treasuring up heavenly things then we know neither moth or rust or even thieves destroy it and there need our hearts be- in heavenly things (not earthly). And the fact that our peace rests in the character of God and our faith in Him keeps us grounded.

I am suffering with a rare autoimmune disease. I am raising my 9 year old granddaughter. I was told only 23% live past 15 years I am at 16 years. My sweet granddaughter needs me to make it 9 more years. My anxiety has been a constant companion 😢. I just pre ordered your book. Thank you for sharing from scripture out of f Matthew. I have received some new insights. I may be bitter about this disease. Pray for my healing body, soul and mind❤️🙏 I struggle with, joy and peace too

I am glad to see you both back in this discussion. I totally agree with getting to the root of the issue, and thought the foot/knee story was a helpful illustration. I also appreciated the point of idolatry, that much anxiety is caused by our "precious", whatever idol that may be, and the fear of losing it. I also agree 100% that the answer is always in the bible and that is where our focus needs to be. Usually when my thoughts get our of control, I am not focusing on and remembering the truth of who God is, and what He has done.
