The pack its self could handle as much weight as you could handle but not comfortably, at all especially if you hiking far or up hills. It’s an old design and can really pull on your shoulders when loaded up. For comfort I wouldn’t go over 20kg or 25 at a push. Hope this helps

That there is the Standard for a Bushcraft knife. In my knife collecting opinion I believe that Emberleaf make the best version of the Ray Mears Woodlore.

That price for basic materials and super basic O1 tool steel is not cool at all. Have you ever seen or even heard of Bark River Knives? This knife is obsolete to even a TOPS or ESEE blade smh

Been doing research for 2 weeks. Spending so much money on a bag, I had to be sure. Almost settled on the Royale... the your video came across when I stopped looking. We are the same height and weight, now I'm getting the Jr. Thanks

Thank you for the honest review and you right the bag kicks you in the rear, but the nostalgic feeling and the teaching you get from it it’s worth it You become minimalist and you can always use other pack that take care of you back if you wish to hike lots of Km👍🏻

Might i introduce you to Rob Evens bushcraft. He is a knife maker and Outdoorsman. Good sense of humor and tons of information 👍 I myself am very fond of my Bark River Kephart CPM3V 5inch i purchased over a year ago . It is my Holy Grail knife . I expect that you'll be extremely happy with your knife as well. It took me three years to save up here and there out of pocket change to buy my knife 328.00 US Dollars. I had specific changes and modifications i wanted to have made and the Bark River knife company was willing to accommodate my needs. If you get half the same amount of enjoyment using your knife as I do mine then everything is worthwhile. Don't let the negative comments get to you. Congratulations on your new knife. Mine bit me the first time I used it and I wouldn't have it any other way LOL so here's to you and hurrah hurrah hurrah 😀Happy Birthday and many more. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and time . Looking forward to seeing more bushcrafting and camping videos featuring you and the knife.

Nearly 5 hundred pounds for a knife 🤣 you've paid ott for a name NOT a knife !!! Ray Mears company Woodlore is a massive rip off just to sell his NAME, the actual goods sold are no better than other similar items purchased elsewhere at much lower prices, including the knife.

Nice video. Always interesting to see what others put their emphasis on. One thing that doesn’t make sense to me with this knife design is how far from the handle the edge begins. The part of the edge closest to the handle is where I use my knives the most, and where I have the most power. I think I would struggle with a knife that wastes so much of the blade. Any idea why it is designed this way?
@howardvarley87952 жыл бұрын
So you can choke up on the blade for better cutting and more control. Prevents damaging the handle too when youre sharpening the blade.
@andrimnerofsweden26152 жыл бұрын
@@howardvarley8795 OK, I can see that. But it would also make it more necessary to choke up more? I have a few different knives in that size range, and I use them pretty hard. I could choke up I suppose, but rarely have the need. But, it would make it good for use with winter gloves I guess. I sometimes get my glove on the back part of the edge in winter.

Another rather expensive Bushcraft Knife. Interesting how thay have gone away with the traditonal Bushraft Knife Shape to almost Dagger Shape. Long term will see how the extreme TIP fairs with proper use and not be scared of breaking it.
