The thing about Hawking radiation is that it is terribly slow. Don't have exact figures, but for a cosmic black hole to disintegrate, it's on order of trillions of years. Many thousands of times the age of the universe.

The Hawking Radiation explanation is not entirely correct, though it was the one Hawking himself communicated bexause he thought it was easier to understand. In reality, Hawking radiation occurs in the entirety of the curved spacetime around a black hole, extending several times the actual radius.

What if Command and Bob work this way: Bob checks the planet, once it determines the planet is habitable it causes the particle to not be entangled anymore, otherwise, it remains so. Command then will determine a theoretical timeframe at which Bob will be able to determine habitability. If no habitability is determined, then Bob will not measure the particle to untangle it. Thus, meaning that you have 3 possibilities, Bob malfunctions, Bob detects habitability or Bob does not detect. The malfunction state may be fixed using multiple instances of Bob. What will then need to happen is this, Command will get a result this result will interact with Command somehow -> a detector will interact with an untangled particle due to the untangled particle acting as it should. My issue is being able to have command interact with the particle only when a state is determined for example, if the up/down state actually imparted some kind of motion, it is possible that the particle could only act on command once it moves. My only thought is that the particles do not obtain motion that can then cause an interaction with Command's detectors which while untangled, the particle does not interact (it's a non-interference detector). So the outcome doesn't matter, but rather the creation of that outcome does.

Why are we focusing on the speed of light instead of the speed of thought which is instant.

Our problem is that we think with: nothing gets created nor destroied but only transformed. If we get an invinite "WHYs" with our universe rules, there could be just another explanation: before the universe there was no rule to stop anything from happening. No rules so anything could spawn or not spawn. maybe we are just one of the billions of combination of universes that tried to reach the big bag but failed untill one lucky atom winner created the universe and with it its own sets of rules we know today. That "NOTHING" of the begnining.. we can't immagine it because we never seen it. Is the same concept of explaning colors to a blind person.

First, aliens may come here every million of years and may have been here like several hundred of thousand of years ago last time. And never met us and perhaps never will. Second, why do you folks so desperately want to meet them? If there are aliens out there who can travel throughout the galaxy they must be so much more advanced that would consider us animals. Remember, we've never been farther then our satellite Moon is( and that's still questionable and happened just once), let alone our own solar system. Let alone travelling throughout the galaxy... Now ask yourself, what would you do to an animal that never met humans in a remote area of planet and is curious what humans are? You would either kill it or domesticated it. Or just ignored it, that's the best. This is what awaits us should we come across advanced aliens. This would be a tragedy for humans, remember it.

My opinion is that we (human) are not made to perceve all the things in the universe and this happens even inside our own house. We can't see with the naked eye the light emmited by the remote control of your TV, but you can with your smartphone camera. What I mean is that we just don't have the thechnology to understand evverything. What if other planets we might MINE to get ore, might have some very rare materials which do not exist on earth and has such of a reaction ( the new discovered ore) with certain elements that it literally tells us why the universe exist at all? We just need to wait.. if we don't find out, maybe our children will.. and remember, we are all 13.8 billion years old.. or at least the atoms that makes us ahaha. I kinda hate the "TIME" as dimension. Yes is usefull as we know it now but at the same time is an abstract thing, I was making up some stuff in my head and I feel like time do not really exist. Time travel can't exist because the past and the future do not exist, the past is just memories of something we did, all that "exists" is the NOW, we are literally living the same day ever day, every second.. Even going faster than light, you can't go back in time because.. the past do not exist, you can't go places which do not exist. My theory is that the universe didn't not started to move forward in time at the big bang but we are just keep "standing still", no future no past, just the standing still present. Yes we use past to say for example: we see the SUN as it was in the past ( 8 minutes ago if I remember), but you can't go now to the sun 8 minutes ago and touch it, you can only observe it now because the "thing" that carries information about the sun happens to be the fastest known "thing" (Light) We should just stop thinking about the 99.9% impossible to be done things, or at least with our current technology and focus on what we can do with what we know now to improve untill a random experimente gives the answer we all waited for. As always, as for all the inventions and discoveries, a lonely scientist will find the solution "randomly" by trying to find the solution of something else. 😄 Always open for discussion, I really think that thinking outside the box on internet is the best way, you can have millions of peoples trying to understand something.

I once told a theist that Christianity maps well to a simulation hypothesis. You have to assume that there is a being or beings greater than yourself that set your life in motion...
