This is one IP thats really weird to put into console as you said but making it like a fighting game? Now thats creative and it does look quite fun. Like, I didn't like the Burst line as a concept, specifically because from everything I saw, it made the fun part of Beyblade into a chore, which I do feel validated about now seeing how crazy it got for Japan and how cheap it was for the US, but like... Beyblade X actually might be my return since they discontinued the Metal line. The core concept actually seems interesting, it feels like rather than doing an ever expanding gimmick, they went "Let's take the last 20 years of design philosophy and make it into a mature toy line" AND IT WORKS. Metal rings for ensuring minimal damage to the toys. Burst mechanics with easy reconstruction A Standardized Arena to ensure balance for all Beys Freespinning tips that allow faster top speeds It's everything that I would have wanted as a kid and assuming Hasbro doesn't pull a Hasbro and instead is willing to trust that the intended audience is willing to pay a premium for higher quality toys, I might buy one or two.

As a kid the Metal Series was absolutely amazing, I still have so many good memories of my Leone and Pegasus beys We used to have fuckin beyblade days with the bros it was nuts...

Man, ever since I saw a commercial for Beyblade Burst, I instantly fell in love with Beyblade, and to this day, I still have my old beys, so this video takes me back.

To illustrate how badly Hasbro handled Burst, I like to point to Destined Evo-X Belfyre, Hasbro's adaptation of Ultimate Gear Divine Belial, and list out everything that Hasbro removed from Takara Tomy's bey Core: TT's Belial III core features a burst stopper, which makes the bey harder to Burst. Hasbro's does not Blade: TT's Divine blade features metal for extra weight. Hasbro's does not A Gear: TT's A Gear is a separate piece that allows the bey to change between a 3-bladed attack mode and a 6-bladed defense mode. Hasbro's Destined blade fuses Divine with the A Gear aesthetically, making it lighter and getting rid of the mode change H Gear: TT's H Gear is a 2-piece armor, with a metal and a plastic piece. In low mode (metal below, plastic above), the plastic piece aligns with the Divine blade to increase attack. In high mode (metal above, plastic below), the H Gear gives Belial a second burst stopper Disc + D Gear: TT's bey has the D Gear, a plastic piece that attaches to the Nexus disc. The D Gear has 90 degrees of free motion and the elongated shape gives it strong attack power. The best beyblade experience I had was me trying to read the manga that came out around the Burst era of beyblade but it was in Japanese and it was once a year so I would get really funny surges in the story that was still enjoyable nonetheless.

The only thing missing from this vid is the metal on metal sfx of the bayblades. It was descibed, but you can't describe it you can only feel it.

I saw the Beyblade Metal Fusion anime as a kid, a bit of the sequel season (the one with the green unicorn dude), read the manga up to tome 4 (never could had saw the end of the manga rendition of the Ginga & Ryuga showdown at the tournament), and a bunch of the Burst seasons (up to the one with Dante/the blondy boy in blue). Never played with the tops irl. I should really rewatch those series one day; catch up on the stuff I missed, and even discover the og Beyblade. 3:02 The missing link between B-daman and Beyblade, my god. The fact that neither of the two most replayed/skipped to moments of the video are the point where the “Time Left Until Wife Arm” runs out shows how many of us respected the timer and actually watched until it hit 0.

This is easily my favorite analysis video on the Beyblade series, and possibly one of my favorite videos of all time. I loved every second of this.
