Its kinda funny and somewhat sad that the Meganium line's only real claim is being the best pet. Which is fine. After all. Who wouldn't love to have a pet dinosaur that helps your yard grow. Meganium is perfectly fine when you're not playing as a traveling trainer who goes around making a living from battles. The usual lens of a Pokémon game just refuse to play to this particular Pokémon's good points. In a straight up pet simulator game like Nintendogs where caretaking is the main focus it's easily one of the greatest starter lines.

Considering that Lugia purposefully stay deep below the waves to ensure it doesn't cause the 40 year storm, I'm surprised that its behavior score isn't higher. A Pokemon smart enough to know that its dangerous and sets up itself to try to not harm anyone should have a higher score since, if you have it in your house, it'll likely do whatever it can to avoid causing whatever harm or devastation to you or its surroundings however possible. And, since Lugia would need to flap its wings to do damage and can walk, I would think Lugia would get to places by either walking or using Psychic to fly, rather than its wings.

It's a sweet pupper that doesn't like fighting and actively detects and warns people about impending threats to their safety. If that doesn't give it 6+ in Behavior and Safety to offset its typing, I don't know what would.

I think there's a lot you can say about Stantler. It's a deer, so you'll need land for it to graze. A deer would be akin to a bunny, you need to make it feel comfortable and safe or it could be prone to stress. You're definitely not bringing it inside, if you startle it then it's going to wreck the place. Then there's the final odd point of Stantler's horns being capable of hypnotizing creatures.

Crobat is my favorite 'Mon ever (aside from the funny lawnmower) so I can definitely appreciate their score. But I'd like to advocate for their housing- sure, they're staggeringly large, but bats have some narrow bones and handy cartilaginous structures that allow 'em to squeeze into some pretty tight spots. Make sure they have access to the outdoors so they can fully spread their wings, silence their prey so the charges can't stick, and I think you'd have a happy life together!

I think Forretress's shrapnel is more like a grenade considering its explosive origins, which probably should put it lower honestly. Like, I'm probably Bug's biggest defender, it absolutely shouldnt be as low as it is, and i will defend my lil' insomniac spider to the death, but the fact Forretress didnt get enough negative points to end up in the bottom five is a danger to public safety. People use these things as guides, man, Porygon sales went up 4060% the week after the first video came out, you gotta think about that. Anyways, Octopi are actually notorious for being bad pets because of how both smart they are, and capacity for showing it by escaping and doing arcrus knows what, so Octi-boy's probably about where he should he, since unlike the real deal, he can't accidentally off himself by being too clever. On the opposite side of the intelligence spectrum, though the real reason Feraligatr lacks a vowel is because of the programed max name length, i like to think its because hes so stupid. But like ya know. In a good way. Head empty, only scritches. Also hes probably gay, something like 60% of Alligator mating is between same sex couples, and they're switches too, weirdly enough. You'd think this wouldn't have much impact on ease of care, but considering how pokemon love to "fight" so much they'll shack up with anything even remotely compadable, you actually kinda need to think of its roomates more closely then just what gender Icon they were assigned. Especially since its so accommodating. If i had a nickel for every time someone's revealed to me Lugia's driven a person to madness, I'd have two Nickels. Why do i have two Nickles. Bears in real life are actually fairly well behaved too, at least ones that are properly domesticated and cared for, so Ursaring being so high is actually perfectly understandable. Someone once drew a comic of the competitive pokemon in a bar and Quagsire was drinking a bottle of Oil. I think that is very appropriate. On that same note; D R I N K T H E B U G M I L K (it'll get you KRUNKED) On that note, glad to see Ledian succeeded at *something* in life. It has to be hard when gamefreak thinks so little of you, they make your hidden ability a joke on how bad you are. (Also, Ledian is the poster child of "Bug = Hero type" in pokemon, so if its robbing a gas station, its probably run by team rocket and you can legally and morally join in the looting.) ((It probably also needs your help.)) On Tyranitar, To Quote Davey Gunface: "Mountains should not be able to exist in the pokemon world." Though, i will say, maybe it should have gotted a point or two for its mercy. For as nasty as it is, it *is* the literal only pokemon we've seen so far with a concept of Mercy, meaning it knows restraint and has a moral compass, which for a gen 2 dark type... Is actually really impressive. Its absolutely not a good pet, but, like... I think we could afford to squeeze it out to #6 to fit in Forretress to number 5. Or #4 if we're feeling correct.
