I tried many kick presets, but the problem is that most of the time you get them as already mastered sound samples. Going through my mastering, they lose their initial nice sound. I prepare my kicks with the standard kick plugin function of my DAW (FL) and apply one equalizer and one multiband compressor/limiter on it. However, most of the times how it sounds is a matter of sidechain... Thank you anyway for the video👍🏼🔝

lol, i tried that approach in general life, "how bad can rejection be, just be yourself" in return i got years of abuse and death threats from dickhead trance hippies and a healthy dose of agoraphobia. you're also missing the flipside. what if it does blow up? are you prepared to handle the comment sections of your new found fame? also fuck zionists.

I was thinking the 80% rule the whole time before you said this 😂 But shouldn’t 80% ensure theres sufficient sub in the bass without EQing? Also, can we have a dedicated shorts playlists of KZbin misinformation?! 🎉🎉

I find a lot of people over complicate music production. Yes, there is a lot involved in creating a well balanced mix but some producers online make it difficult to understand for someone just starting out. Almost like it’s on purpose 🤷🏻‍♂️ Great advice, mate 👊🏼

Here’s a silly question, but why do synths like serum and ableton wavetable have analog shapes in them if they’re more meant for digital?

It depends. If the sub volume jumps up and down all over the place because of unison/detune, it's better to replace the fundamental with a stable sine. But i agree that a single preset sounds way more cohesive. That's why I like using serum and removing the osc fundamental in the wavetable editor, to replace it with sub osc.

You gotta have really good ears to hear any type of separation, it all blends into one combination sound to me and overwhelms the vocals. I could never understand the word in most American Rock music from the 1960s onward because all the instruments gang up and overpower the vocals. As a kid, I always thought the words were just random sounds to go along with the music and were never meant to have any meaning, because I could not make out the words when every drum beat and every guitar sting pluck came in at the same time as the words' syllables only so much louder that I could never hear what the syllables were s'pose to sound like. Only now in my 60s am I hearing some old songs digitally remastered and hearing some of the words for the 1st time.

This was the one thing in my mixes I was trying to figure out. All my subs were super agressive. I noticed on other tracks its nice and clean sounding, now mine sound clean as well. This was a game changer, thanks man!
