This is so well built. These guys were nothing but pure bad guys in Season 1's first episode. You completely forget about them until this new 2nd Season where they are now hired by our protagonist Seong Gi-Hun. We follow them the whole time until they finally decide they have to attack the recruiter, where the chain guy who had been so goofy up to that point, is now asking if they really will split the reward, where his boss says of course as he knows he has kids. When they are captured here, at the first round the chain guy didn't play but his boss did, showing he would have let him die. But through the rounds until the lastt throw, now the boss has won and just has to let his hand down to end him, but chooses to sacrifice himself and you can see this so clearly in their eye contact and expressions. This scene is literally phenominal. The amount of character work for all 3 is insane.

Though Ryan seems to be the victim here, but this dumb kid can't stay on one side, he literally changes his side after every second episode from Homelander to Butcher and then if a little thing happens, he just changes his side again.

Rex, remember, is the guy who Oz thought was the best example of the kind of gangster he could be, in Episode 1's opening scene. And all that time, Rex was the guy who had offered and was ready to kill him.

In orginal Korean dialogue, Gongyoo talks in a very polite, formal and refined way in this scene. This makes this game more weird and thrilling. I think it won't be easy for non natives to feel the intensity increased by Gongyoo's lines.
