No clear reasons. Ending is convoluted.

Love the series and the character. Wish Hammett had written more stories of the continental op. Very well read, always enjoy listening to these. Well done.

The readings are from a site called LibriVox. The reader has called themselves 'hackimoto' - this is their only reading so far. Thanks for your comment..!

WINSTON THARP ❤ The best narrator of Dashiell Hammett‼️ This is not James Stewart who has been dead over 25 years.

What a fun discovery- a cold, windy, gloomy night in Chicago. It's only nine pm, i have an iced tea, a juul traditional, a dark living room with my sweetest next to me, 🦕 softly snoring, and warm toasty tiest. Old cats and a great audio; 💽 Perfect. M. Illinois

I find it funny that in the '20s Golden Gate Park was remote enough to chuck bodies like it was a mob graveyard.

Excellent reader for a great writer. I enjoy reading the text as well, that seems to add something, but I notice it's not done for all the readings?

2:12 I adore Hammett but I'm not familiar with this story! I see the seeds of the death of Miles Archer here. It will be interesting to see how this story develops.
