"After a while, I rang again. I had just decided that no one was at home, when the knob turned slowly and a little old woman opened the door."

I am listening to the story for the second time for the pleasure of listening to the storyteller. I am so very grateful, what a wonderful narrator!

Such an elegant twist at the end. The portly, nameless Operations man rang the doorbell for a completely different reason.

The radio drama was excellent, but I found the interruptions for Ads approximately every 41/2 minutes distracting as they kept breaking the mood created by the author.

Thanks for your feedback - I too am not a fan of ads which interrupt the videos and (I believe) I have altered settings on all the videos on this channel so this should not happen again. Much appreciated!

I pay for YT premium to avoid all ads. I don't have "cable" or any other streaming services and listen to a ton of long vid/audio. Excellent value as long as it lasts #oldcynic

Heh. I lived at Bush at Taylor and then Haight at Divisidero in the late 80s and early 90s. Things were just starting to really take a sharp turn down when Crack hit. Still a great city.
