Sad I missed this kickstarter! I'd love to be able to buy the cartridge but it doesn't seem to be available anywhere now.

Just saw Arcus speed running this and was not surprised at all to realize it was by the same people who made Micro Mages.

Most of what you said is understandable theoretically. But how the heck do you implement it!!!

It would be awesome if you guys made continuations for the following nintendo consoles.

So can this apply to modern games? Where instead of using full textures they can just split it into smaller pieces and combine it to form the map?
@fonesrphunny724226 күн бұрын
Mechwarrior 5's maps consist of tiles, which are procedurally put together to create large maps. Battlefield 2 was also split into tiles, but that was for performance reasons. If we extend to 3d, DRG uses premade rooms which are combined to create more complex cave layouts. Yes, this technique can be applied to modern games.

Just played this at the Midwest gaming Classic '24 and I was blown away. I had no idea it was only a 40K game and the tricks used to build it were so clever. This makes the game even more impressive. It's an attractive game that is ridiculously fun in a group. Some of the design choices from a gameplay standpoint were brilliant. The multiplayer mechanic with players turning into ghosts that can temporarily stun monsters was a fantastic idea. Not only does it keep players engaged in the game, but it allows less skilled players to keep participating and having fun. I also like how the bosses are scaled to how many players are still alive. I don't own any NES homebrew yet, but this one is definitely one I'm looking to pick up to play with my kids.

If this was released back then when the NES is hot and new, this game could revolutionize the whole game industry because how creative on both gameplay and Visual style, this just to show people's imagination back then are not there yet and still figuring out what makes a game good.

40KB is actually a lot in a different scale. For my electronic projects I got only 2K and when need to do LCD stuff that's barely enough for anything :(

I downloaded the ROM, and I've just tried it out. It's really good, but I give a minor criticism towards the difficulty. Final Score: 9.75/10.

if you make 10k game then it fit if you make 40k then you need 40k. if you mean you have 60k game and try fit 40 you need remove something so its 40k. todo it you make it 40k it means optimize you can write RAR routine lol

You are incredible, it is very difficult to program in ASM. I have only managed to make Mario able to throw fireballs upwards in SMW... Although thinking about it, he should have more freedom doing it from scratch than modeling. Obviously I subscribe! You give me hope that I can make a game for the Snes that can sell.
