This may sound weird, but while this game is definetly not as good as the proper versions, in every way, I'm still not really sure why people loathe this version so much. It doesn't do anything too bad IMO and It honestly captures the spirit of the original game pretty well. The only thing I don't like is the barricades in the map. Otherwise, I think it's fun distraction as a fan of the original game. That said, I didn't pay full price for this game, so I could see how those that did could be more upset.

Something nobody seems too notice is that the release date of *September 19th* That's the date the OG dead rising took place. September 19th 2006, which I think boasts well for the game

I could see Sebastian Stan playing a live action Frank West. It would be better as a live action movie or even franchise than the live action Resident Evil movies, it's got action, horror, mystery and comedy, a potential global terrorist threat, a military cover-up plot twist and Sebastian can do his own stunts.

Never thought that I'd see the day that DR1 would get the Resident Evil HD Remaster treatment, but here we are in 2024 with a DR1 Remaster coming out in just a month!

I'm curious about the photography & overtime in the remake. I wonder if the devs took notes from OTR with the camera like there's a PP meter to show us the sticker, we can take as many pics we want (I hated getting film in the OG DR tbh), etc. As for overtime, I wonder A) how are they going to show/top the final fight with Brock? Is he going to be changed when he fights? How about the gameplay as Frank when we get there? Is it going to stay the same? (Like are we going to keep our skills but have nothing in the inventory again?) I'm hopeful DRDR will great & see how the new changes make a great game one of the best (again!)

Intros like these are perfect for these type of horror games, funnily enough re2 reamkes intro is similar. We get to discover the danger of the apocalypse with other people who also have no idea of whats going on, we get to see that they are left to die, showing how dangerous these zombies really are in universe, not just some stupid slow groaning braineaters like they are in gameplay. The cherry on top is that after finding this out, we get to play frank west, who is fully invested into finding out whats going on in this town, why people are „going crazy“, basically just as curious as the player at this point.

EM53 could be an early cult member since the track suit is something the real life cult Heaven’s Gate wore when they offed themselves. But it could be some psychopath in a tracksuit or just placeholder Paul. But going with the cult concept, Sean also resembles Marshall Applewhite of Heaven’s Gate. EM42 leads me to think that he was a new member of the cult, that during his introduction as part of some initiation where he is to kill Frank. In the final game, the cult seems to be no importance to the game’s plot, so they really could had worked them in anyway they want changing things whenever. Frank getting captured by the cult just has him pop out of box and quickly slaughter everyone to escape. I almost think when in another scenario where the military has you tied up if they captured you. If this was the cult I could see EM42 about to sacrifice a tied up Frank. I find it odd that the only way the military captures you is if they kill you, where the cult will gas you and drag you off.

The things that bother me the most are them changing Franks VA... AGAIN!! Also, them redesigning the zombies with the skimpy black dresses, you can see it on Cheryl in this video, nobody was complaining about that so why did they change it?? It's so stupid when they do things like that, yeah it's not really a big deal but it's a totally needless change that just makes it worse.

The achievement for getting the true ending actually read get the ture ending back in 06 when I first played the game

I really hope they do a dlc escaping the town. You have 2 days to escape Willamette, get more photos of the carnage, and rescue people who are held up in buildings arround town. Have a base of operation like in dr3

Theory - They were an underground cult in the town and were bringing about the end of the world, the zombie outbreak most probably got them thinking they achived their goal and went to the mall to sacrifice people in the chaos.
