I'm guessing that the "Nap" mode was a feature that would have allowed you to instantly pass a certain amount of time. It was probably so that if you just wanted to, for example, get right to story missions and skip survivors, or even just wanted to skip any down time, you could just advance the clock without having to wait.

I played this game in Co-op so much when I was younger, learned the location of every chainsaw and zombrex spawn in the game 🤣 Thank you for making these videos

If I had to guess why Auto Chuck exists: While it can be used to test/debug gameplay without someone actually playing the game, I could see it being used in conjunction with the camera tools in order to record gameplay for advertisement trailers.

5:59, while i don't know the exact meaning of "Transition", it may be in reference to the cutscene that plays the first time it turns to night, showing that the zombies have gotten more powerful. although i don't know how to even test this hypothesis because while being a big dead rising nerd, you stipo clearly have me beaten out. so i'd recommend trying this out, or don't. i dunno i'm not the boss of you.

Hello stip0, long time fan here and i really appreciate everything you've shown from dead rising. it inspired me to solve the mystery of dead risings backstory and inspiration. it bugged me no one could figure out the story of the true eye cult. I cracked the code of it all I believe and would like to offer you the story to tell if you're interested. All i ask is for a shout out on the video for bagging rights haha. i know who the true eye cults leader is, where his outfit and weapon comes from, why they're suicidal homicidal. where the mall comes from, the war frank covered, where willimate was inspired from, who barnaby is, and how they got the overall idea for dead risings plot.

​@@eduazy ​ watch noam chomskys manufacturing consent as well as the order of the solar temple and it will all make sense. it's about using the american media to commit and cover up cambodian genocide which I believe is the war frank covered, and the reason he brags about it as all other reporters that tried to cover it were assassinated by the us which would also explain franks expertise in survival and combat. barnaby is modeled after professor noam chomsky, you can even find him wearing the exact same suit. the opening shot is of a helicopter going over a mall, you can find some of the reference they used to make drs mall in it down to some of the layout and the clock tower. As for the solar temple, this is where the leader of the true eye cult came from, he is the sole survivor after the cult committed suicide and killed any members who didn't want to commit. in the theater by jills sandwhichs when you run into them, it spawns a total of 75 of them matching the solar temples exact death count while also explaining why they're suicidal and kill none believers. they also drugged members before killing them, which is what they do to get you back to their hideout. if you compare the true eye cult leader to the survivor its an exact match, same facial features and they have the same hair style, hell even their eyes are the same color. the exact outfit he wears was worn during solar temple ceremony where you can also find true eye cult leaders Templar sword with minor details changed. it was used to initiate or promote members of the cult. the last piece of evidence is the leader or one of the members was going to be burned in a metal coffin to "die as he was born" some kind of connection with the sun, no ones talked about it but in the dr files I found cut content from the true eye cults hideout, the model was cut but a texture was left behind that was a metal coffin with the true eye cults symbol on it.
