Pete, i heard on Tom's pidcast you discussing the updated metod you use and a video not being around, how about that video as a Christmas gift to us all and a way for me to tangle things up for 2025 as I inevitably will do.

Davey not. Only know you need for fly to line.

Gary never tied the underbody of both his pupa patterns so tightly as you do. He touched dubbed the underbody. Serious mistake!

Great video. I have struggled to get the fly back up level or above me after it drifts below my position. The slow to fast is very helpful. I like to think of the direction as where I will be sending my roll cast so make your rod tip circle in that direction. You truly a great casting instructor. Always keep it simple.

Listen to this man and you will catch more and land bigger fish. Or elegantly cast 7x w/size 22 midge dries all winter and catch a few babies - if that’s what you’re into

I would love to see a 0:08 tie off using a secret material. One tyer sends a material to the other tyers. Tyer choice on style and flies judged on best utilization and creativity of secret material.

It's been some time since we last saw a tie off. I really enjoyed these.

When was this ‘revised’ and how? I have one with a green back label on black with red lining… is this a different fit from the one with a black and white bird label?

Being a self described minimalist fly fisherman, I appreciate this setup. I like to hike and fish to get away from the crowds. I have not used a waist pack yet, but may have to give it a try when my sling is too much. Thanks for another great video.

I use a leader straightener ONLY on the stiff butt of the leader and not too vigorously but I do as the great A.J. McClane said until it is perfectly straight.
