Did Orvis really drop their sponsorship to Alex aka TrippinOnTrout for the reasons he stated on his most recent video? For an American company, I'm truly disappointed in the decision to drop Alex's sponsorship just because of aspects completely unrelated to his fishing career. Disgraceful to the word freedom, honestly. I have multiple Orvis gear, including several clearwater setups, a superfine setup, 2 fully outfitted Helios setups with mirage LT, and a multitude of Orvis accessories. The only reason I chose to upgrade to the Helios rods were because of Alex's videos. I even had plans on buying the Helios 4 outfit this coming summer. However, as things stand now, I'm done with Orvis. I'll take a non-response from Orvis on this comment as acknowledgement of the validity of the things mentioned in Alex's video.
