I have just been using my phone for following routes but I think I'd rather have something more focused to the route following. I was looking at the edge 530 too. Thanks for the info 👍🏻

@@gaz3359 yes mate the Garmin Edge 530 is a reasonable price. I’m not interested in features like heart rate etc. It’s a black and white screen but again that doesn’t bother me, I just need it for downloading routes and using it as a sat nav and it ticks all the boxes for me.

Just catching; another belter. Did you get a nice two-stroke hit from the bikes ? As for "best single track", yes its a preference, however you need more flow for that claim in my opinion, a balance of speed and tech but always flow.

@@preachblue yep totally agree mate. When I got back I re-read the site and it said amongst the best in the country. But even so…. I agree you need more flow. 🤘🏻. Still a good ride though. Loads of moto cross with that lovely two stroke smell flying past me on Rutland Rigg 😂

@@herse83 unfortunately not 😣. I thought my rattle was coming from the battery department, I’ve packed it, put a strap on it but no use. You can hear it on descents over rough terrain.

It's good but we did a High Cup Nick route from there a bit back. Proper shoulder hike-a-bike section which was fine (brought back memories)t but the bridleway after that was a joke; ride 30 yards, drag it through heather for 50 yards, rinse repeat. Bust my knee open slipping while shouldering in a section that was meant to be rideable so had to take a different descent back as we were running out of time - one of those rides 😀 High Cup Nick is great though

@@hairyhomerify hi mate. It was the head set. Apparently it’s common from the factory trek don’t put enough grease on the head set bearings 😞. So the LBS greased it up and problem solved.

@@hairyhomerify have you checked the seatpost? The reason I say that is you mention when you stand up and pedal it stops. I also had a creaking noise caused by a dirt and grime around the dropper post coller. Undo the coller and clean around it and spray a bit lube around it.

Finally got round to watching; what a ride Rob. The open moor sections and that drop through the quarries before Goatland. From the OS maps there are a lot of options through that wooded section how did you pick the route? How was your battery % after a 28 miler?

You’re right that looks mint! We’ve ridden a few bits but your way around was far better. And the climb out of Levisham is horrible. We will need to get the gpx and do it from Goathland Aire. Never even knew that gully existed on way to Goathland. That looks like the hushes you get in the dales. Great vlog and Nikki thinks you’re an absolute darling for mentioning it. Don’t forget we are in dales Ard rock weekend.

@@demonG666 it took me about 3.5 hours but I stopped loads of times. The GoPro that I have is the hero 10. My wife got it for me Last Christmas and it’s spot on. Deffo do this ride, I thoroughly enjoyed it and you will too. 👊🏻👍.
