Another great video. I forgot to comment on one of your other macro videos when you was looking for fungi on birch trees. There are quite a few birch trees with fungi on over at Brocton coppice in cannock chase if you are ever up that way.

Instead of turning your camera upside down and using a tripod, you could also use a beanbag, it's very stable. And when you flip your screen, you don't have to lie on the ground either. Before I had my R6, I had a 5DIII and always had to lie down on the ground when photographing mushrooms as it didn't have a flipscreen. Great tips btw

I'm glad that I came across your channel among the multitude of photography channels. I'm already following your Instagram. You have an eye for it and I want to learn the art of seeing frames before taking them, and when they show what your frames show, it means that I've made a step forward. Greetings from Poland with beautiful Bieszczady Mountains, Ryszard.

I’m considering purchasing the RF 100mm L macro lens. But I have somewhat of a dilemma. I’m not sure if I would be buying a macro lens or a close up lens. What’s the difference? And can you show me examples?

very nice shooting thank you and hello to the little one re - me for info, using two 16mm rings on the 100mm macro, this makes it go from 1.4 to 1.7 without losing too much depth of field while keeping the auto options of the lens

Mushies are one of my favorite subjects to look for. I do some times get to make images with mushies but not super often. I just enjoy keeping an eye out. I’ve also have used mushrooms and I have found that they help with creativity and mental health. Definitely do research before partaking in ingesting mushies. As far as the macro, I wish I had one, I’d benefit greatly. Keep up the experimenting and playing, it does feed the creative soul! I enjoyed your images, thank you for sharing.

Thank you so much for watching! Yes! There is a whole world out there waiting to be discovered, not just photographically but in so many other ways. I have really enjoyed spotting them without the camera too, it's a great way to enjoy a walk without expectations to take a photograph

As a fellow macro photographer I have found that the addition to two or three little gadgets can really elevate your macro work. One is an Extension tube set. Preferably from your camera brand rather than generic. #2-3 Supplemental lighting. Either a small LED light or a small, off-camera WiFi-triggered electronic flash with a diffusion head so that you can experiment with side or back lighting. In the Spring & Summer this works well with flowers, too.
@FocusFlowBySuzannahMary8 күн бұрын
Some really good advice and tips here! Thanks. I'll certainly have a look, my phone could only do so much and the flash I had with me was quite harsh so will look at diffusers. Cheers for the support 🙏

2:41 in, I was expecting a color image and wondered why you chose b/w? 4:01 in, Impressionism photography is what I’d call that one. I like it. 8:15 in, my favorite, and again, I’d call that Impressionism photography. I’m still not fungi (fun guy?) ready yet - no macro lens. 😎
