I can play this game every day, and not get sick of it. I’ve beaten it many times. A rank, got Hunk and Tofu…although I can’t seem to beat the hunk or Tofu scenarios. They are difficult.

Eye of the beholder series did it all right, as they stuck to the winning format for 1 step at a time movement.......whereas Lands of lore started out the same way, then ruined the 2nd and 3rd games by moving to doom type movement, which impacted on the melee fighting mechanics of the games in a bad way, which was a shame.

I like how much effort developers would put into these games with limited hardware incapable of good looking 3D graphics. It’s cool that you can enjoy these old games. There is that nostalgic feeling too for some. But I personally can’t get myself to play these fixed camera games. Especially after learning from some developers themselves that the limited camera wasn’t really a choice but a product of the limited times. I honestly wish developers would revive the fixed camera angles with a modern twist. Perhaps multiple fixed angles with the press of a button?

One of few games which put you in the experience, rather than trying to win. Alongside Silent Hill and Alone in the Dark while Nightmare Creatures was more about fighting back. And then there was RE7 and remakes of older games in the series, Deadspace and Amnesia plus others I won’t mention as we all know what they are

As my final observation watching you play this game, my verdict is the game is just ok. I say this because the game seems to have most everything going for it the setting is great the story is interesting, and I enjoy the creature design, but what ruins the experience for me is the honestly clunky gameplay. If it wasn't for everything else being good, I would call this a bad game. In my opinion I think this would work better as an animated horror movie than a video game. I think if the Gameplay were a good bit better it would make for a horror classic. Thank you for playing it for us.

That was a pretty cool boss encounter in the factory. Critics say creepy mansions are overused, but I quite like this one.

I also can't stand the manual door opening mechanic these type of horror games tends to have it is just clunky and dated in my opinion.

With the WW1 setting I am a little disappointed that this game has no combat at all. The world design is good esthetically even if the walking gets repetitive. I like the story, but I wish it was more old school silent hill, and less Amnesia, but if this is crowd funded, they did good with what they had.

Cool video Dan, funny commentary! Gameplay looks pretty cool but yeah, I always scoff at the idea of women fighting in high heels and skimpy body armor 😵‍💫 but as you said its fantasy so have to over look those things

Just wanted to point out, when you "really" died in the practice room, you accidentally put out the candle in front of the mirror after he smacked you into the right wall. Was confused as well, so I scrolled back to see if that was what actually happened. He drops a shield and a big heart if you manage to beat him.
