The RETRO GAMING REWIND is a series where we play Amiga, PS1, PS2 and PC games from the late 80ies to the early 2000's, on REAL soft- and hardware.
Today we're playing the WHDLoad version of "Eye of the Beholder", that is installed on my Amiga 1200's hard disk!
I'm not very proud of this video, since I got lost and some of the "invisible walls" in the Clue Book didn't really disappear. Generally lots of running around confused. And then the cleric got unconscious forever... What a gag! That made everything so much better. So good in fact, that I decided to just end it there. Anyhow, hope you still enjoyed the trip down memory lane...
Ps.: You can set the characters STATS manually instead of rolling them, but then you might as well set everything to max and play with a party that could never exist according to the rules.
Pps.: Sorry for the flickering map. I don't know why the camera does that. 🥴

Eye of the beholder series did it all right, as they stuck to the winning format for 1 step at a time movement.......whereas Lands of lore started out the same way, then ruined the 2nd and 3rd games by moving to doom type movement, which impacted on the melee fighting mechanics of the games in a bad way, which was a shame.
