Hello, I have method wheels 18x9 +25 with 35’s bmc and trimmed the pinch weld. You mentioned in another comment you have 37’s. You’re able to get full articulation with no rub at all?
@beehivetundra3 ай бұрын
That is correct, the alignment is what helped move the tire away from the body mount. At factory specs the tire will still rub the body mount when turning so your alignment shop would need to make the final adjustments.

I have a 2nd gen tundra wanna do a similar build for some long long trips just wondering the MPG when your loaded down?
@beehivetundra6 ай бұрын
Once on the highway I can stay around 14-15mpg loaded. But I keep my mph between 70-75. If I drive slow say around 70 and under my mpg can stay above 15 pretty reliably.

I just want to say thanks to @beehivetundra for this video. It gave me a guide line for removing my rack and replacing the bushings. Here is a complete video from start to finish for dropping the differential on 4x4 Tundras and removing the steering rack to either replace entirely or replace the worn out bushings kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6e9qnacnqt2sKs

I’m sitting here watching this video with my wife sitting next to me. With every bump and scrape she’s saying “nope! You’re not doing that to out Tundra” 😂 In this video what mods have you done? I’m assuming the auto LSD has been replaced with a true locker. If so, what locker? Stock gear ratio too?
@gregdenton52829 ай бұрын

Hello, Wow that looks awesome . Amazing capabilities of that power train. I got a 2007 tundra 5.7 liter gas 189k miles on it. I don't do anything cool like your truck. I do tow my 22 ft fishing boat every summer. She pure likes a kitten . Enjoyed your video, thanks.

Whatcha supposed to do if you break something out there like ur rear diff or bust a while in your Trans?
@beehivetundra Жыл бұрын
I’ve got skid plates protecting the oil pan, transfer case and transmission, so busting a hole in that is very unlikely. But if it did happen then I’ll just have to get towed out. If I destroy a rear differential I can still drive out in 4x4 using just the front differential, this already to me once before with my 4Runner and that’s how I got home. Other than that, I carry spare CV axles since those are more likely to break.

Hows does your suspension ride off-road? Is it smooth? Planning to get same set up but with 35s
@beehivetundra Жыл бұрын
It’s on the stiffer side. It was super harsh when the springs were first new. But I’ve had them for a few years and they’ve softened up (or I just got used to it) but early on it was quite rough.

What tire size, rims, and lift are you using? Obviously they're 37-in Cooper STT Pro but what about the rest? And did you regear vy chance, if so what is the gear ratio now? 🤔
@beehivetundra Жыл бұрын
They’re 37x12.5x20 and the wheels are 20x9 KMC Mesa 544’s. I’m regeared to 5.29’s with a rear Eaton locker
