Thank you for that. I thought i was the only one with wanting dresses and having a hard time getting in them. I actually have a 1970s blue jean jumpsuit and I had to add a zipper to the so i could get in and out of it. I only had it on once and i had to get my hubby to help me get it off lol. I can laugh at it now but then it was terrible ❤. I love your little gingham dresses love them. ❤

Hello, sugar, and thank you for replying! Yes, I still wear vintage very often, but my look has shifted a bit. I’ve gone from wearing a lot of 40s and 50s (which I still wear) to more 70s Gunne Sax style maxi dresses and a lot of 80s Laura Ashley and prairie core type dresses. I’ve gone from a slightly more tailored look to a more flowing and romantic style. Perhaps I could do a video of how I’m dressing now! I hope you have a lovely day today💗

Hello, sugar! Yes I do, but unfortunately not as often since covid. It’s terrible how quickly we get out of the habit of doing things when we can’t for a while. Most of the time when I wear them out it’s to church, because there are very few other places I go, except to take care of my 97 year old grandpa. But I have started wearing them out again with a friend of mine for our “play dates”. And we’ve actually started dressing up to go see movies, which is such fun! We started this when we went to see Mrs Harris Goes to Paris and we’re continuing it☺️ Do you enjoy wearing hats?

The Edwardian era did not have tiny waist. What they did do was pad up their hips and breasts. They used padded bustle and hip pads to make their waist look smaller. Their breasts were also padded up and a lot of ruffles to make that pigeon breast look. It was all an optical illusion to create the correct silhouette

I also custom design my Regency Era Full length silhouette of myself holding an open book with my signature initials at the back of silhouette coming from England. I am very excited to have a wax seal of me. I also found a large blank heart wax seal which I use transparent wax beads to add dry flowers and nail glitter for shimmer . Its amazing how much a person can use metallic colors rub on for the wax seals, dried flowers, mixing of wax colors, nail glitter for shimmer, art wax markers of all colors, but I just use the gold and silver markers. @@mssamwearsdresses9545 The video is done! Thanks again. It inspired me to get off my butt and show off my Victorian writing slope.

Thank you for watching, sugar! I don’t think people are told often enough that they are loved, and they don’t think anyone cares what is happening in their lives. I hope you have a lovely day💗

I loved this! I learned a lot about each different style. I just love the edwardian fashion. I loved seeing how fashion had has had sort of an ebb and flow on fitted clothing and then looser straighter clothing, fascinating.

Merari Eloise I’m so delighted you enjoyed it! It is fun to see how hems raise and lower, and desirable shapes change. It’s also interesting to see how modern clothing looks back to other periods for inspiration. Thank you so much for watching and visiting with me😘

I just loved this!! Your tribute to the special women in your life just made my morning. I just love your hats and honestly think that you looked so lovely in the pink rose hat that you have never worn out. It really complements the shape of your face and the colour is also very flattering!! It is a bold choice but I can imagine it with a little black suit or green dress. I have been watching your videos and reading your blogs...so inspiring. Thank you. I hope that your family stays well. Best wishes.

Michele Milne I’m delighted you enjoyed it! A huge part of my love if vintage is the people behind each item. And the ones given to me by loved ones are such treasures! Thank you so much for both watching my videos and reading my blog! That uplifts me. I hope to get to chat with you over there as well😘

Thank you for sharing your experiences and knowledge with us. I have thrifted for many years and loved seeing your pieces and hearing your advice. I look forward to a blog or video on faking vintage. I hope you have been well during lockdown. Kind regards.

Michele Milne Thank you so much for your sweet reply! I would still like to do the video about faking vintage, but my oldest son was the one who helped me put the videos up. And he enlisted in the army recently. I’m not great with technology, but I’m trying to teach myself new things☺️. My family is all near, and we have been well, thank you! I wish the same for you and your loved ones💗
