I have received my design of a Cameo silhouette of a woman of color with my signature initials. I also custom design my Regency Era Full length silhouette of myself holding an open book with my signature initials at the back of silhouette coming from England. I am very excited to have a wax seal of me. I also found a large blank heart wax seal which I use transparent wax beads to add dry flowers and nail glitter for shimmer . Its amazing how much a person can use metallic colors rub on for the wax seals, dried flowers, mixing of wax colors, nail glitter for shimmer, art wax markers of all colors, but I just use the gold and silver markers. I have already posted my Europe, Canada and Asian countries Christmas cards week before Thanksgiving. The Christmas cards for folks living in America will be posted this week with the seal at back of envelopes. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

I LOVE hearing about all the creative things you do on your letters! Now I want to try adding dried flowers to some of mine! When you send them do you put them into another outer envelope to preserve your decorations? I know the mail service can be really hard on letters! And do you ever have trouble with your seals being broken or crushed when they arrive to someone? I have, and I’m trying different waxes. I’m sure everyone who receives a card from you is blessed!💗

@@mssamwearsdresses9545 Thank you. Thus far I haven't had any of my wax seals broken at all for 10 years. Some folks will seal the letter then place in the envelope. For using dried flowers; use transparent wax beads, place flowers down first then the wax melt on top of flowers then seal. I have a blank large heart wax seal which is awesome for adding flowers, nail glitter. You could place the dried flowers on top of the wax melt also. I have 2 pen pals in UK, 1 in Australia, 1 in South Korea by South Africa and 4 in the States. I posted all the European, Canada and Asia Christmas cards 2 weeks ago. I will post some Christmas cards this week. Happy Sealing

@@thegoodlife6061 That’s so wonderful to have all those folks to write to! I have one in Australia and one in Denmark, but lots of people here at home. I’ll have to look for the transparent wax, the possibilities sound amazing! And a merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you😘

Im actually working on a similar video! The trouble is getting the lighting right. It has to be candle lit. But getting a good picture isnt easy. It was so cool to see someone doing something like this. There isnt much out there for inspiration. This was much needed.

Thank you so much for the kind words! I am terribly novice at both photography and videography, so this was very uplifting to hear! And actually, it was both lamp and candle. It was too dark with just the flame. On the top right of my desk is a small lamp with a thick lace shade. The two together, and positioned above, gave the right light. I look forward to seeing your video, I’m sure it will be amazing!☺️

I have a 1754 Early American drop down desk and 1900 Lafies writting desk as well. I write 4 Pen Pals letters about me being in the Regency Society, Sewing and Pride and Prejudice Pen Pal club. I have a VA, MN, NY and UK. I use my wooden, glass and Quill dip pens with metal nibs. My ink is all from England; Jane Austen ink collection, Swan Ink of Britain which is the best black ink I have ever used. Jane Austen Center in Bath, England has various dip pen sets and ink which the prices are very affordable. Thanks for sharing

That all sounds so much fun! I always wanted a pen pal as a child, but I write to friends and family. I’m sure all of your clubs are wonderful. I have lots of mid 1800’s to 1950’s clothing passed down in the family that I treasure. I also sew, but my efforts are very simplistic at best. I truly admire folks who can sew well. I adore quill pens and have found that my antique ones far surpass any that I can buy modern. I love to use different colors of ink, and find that the simplest note looks so much more special just from using a nib and ink. Thank you for telling me about your passions!💗

@@thegoodlife6061 That’s wonderful! My mother and grandmother are excellent seamstresses. But when my mama tried to teach me as a child, she was such a perfectionist that she made it hard for me to enjoy it. Now that I’m older, I have slowly gotten back into it. And I have to allow myself some grace, because I don’t exactly know what I’m doing😂. But I love to make skirts! Long full skirts out of all different kinds of fabrics from embroidered taffeta to woven brocades. That and cotton sun dresses are pretty much my limit for now☺️
