Checking out the manuel for the 38, im lost with the table: Use fluids in spring and damper fork leg according to table below. It is important to not to overfill as it will affect fork performance. What is the Damper fluid? do i need it? where to find it?

Disappointing that Ohlins don’t make a Nix kit for the CVOs. Huge oversight. Now I gotta use a legend front end with ohlins at the rear… but honestly gonna swap out the rear and get Legends as well. Shame.

Thank you for this great video. It is mentioned at 08:30 that we reuse the OE front Top Mount and Rubber Isolator from the stock suspension. If we don't want to disassemble the stock suspension, can we order these parts from Tesla or other online source? What is the Tesla part number for the front Top Mount and Rubber Isolator?

Hi Ohlins, I did my RXF36 when removing the lower leg, I didn't use the wrench 14 to keep the knob, I just turn counter-clock then remove the allen key then take out the knob, so the rebound now very hard and stiff, it can't be rotated, do you have any advice? Thank you so much.

this all great, but there is a problem for normal users that there is no information on you damper services, its not a rocket since, most of the people would be able to do it by them selves or at least mechanics who are working with suspensions, but there is no technical information available: Bladder/ IFP pressure, IFP depth. I would guess that why most of the people are choosing different brand suspension, because in case of failure, you can service it and back to ride, instead of waiting for weeks and weeks for a pricy service.

In my experience, 25lbs per revolution is a little low from what I’ve found. I think it’s a more than that. I wouldn’t go by that to set up my bike. I’d follow the videos instructions.

Unbelievable - only half the information required to fully service this fork correctly where we are left to search the internet for specific volumes and torques - and who knows what kind of nonsense that will return! Come on Ohlins - you need to do better! YOUR PAYING CUSTOMERS are looking for basic information on how to maintain the maximum performance and extend the service life of this very expensive premium suspension product without having to send your premium products to the limited number of service centres.

This is the most unhelpful instruction I have ever seen. What kind of oil? how many oil? What’s the torque of the different srews and caps? Öhlins, look at rock shox. They know how to explain their service.

Manitou also has a 3 chamber system (IRT) and I think the Manitou system is better because it allows to have lower initial air pressures than Öhlins, resulting in a more linear beginning stroke and less friction at the air seals. Only specific downside to this 3-chamber design is that smaller PSI changes result in a bigger difference in ride feel, requiring a more careful and precise use of the shock pump.

@@JTDPM et yourself the service manual, that shows how to disassemble. Briefly, set the fork up close to horizontal to not lose fluid, remove all air, remove nut at bottom of fork, unscrew air chamber from top of fork, remove, then this is where opinions differ. You can buy the ohlins suspension block for your vice, or you can clamp the blue seal head in soft jaws in a vice and use a rubber strap wrench to loosen the air chamber from the seal head. Some folks then use the block to remove the primary air piston. Instead I sprayed air down into the seal head and the volume spacer shot up the shaft. The spacer has a slit in it so you can spread it and remove it from the shaft. Then it is just relubricating and assembling. Ohlins also said they would do it for 50 bucks.

Useless. The damper and air cartridge nuts just spin without loosening. Maybe with an impact wrench I don't have.
