@@khiaraisabelle so you were ok with having halo halo or ice? They say to avoid drinking tap water while in Philippines, and that's what I did when I visited a few years ago but my stomach was sore for the month I was there and I'm thinking it's because of the ice from the regular Halo Halos I had lol Just asking cause I'm going next year :)

@@drayyum yes the ice we had was fine no problems, I guess because the ice we had came from known chained fast food/ restaurants. It is probably their requirements not to have tap water ice but store bought ice instead.

If you can get one day of work experience that would be great however any experience you have would be good as you just need to link your skills to one as an optometrist. Any experience that has the same skills as an optom will do. Do some wider reading on recent optometry articles that resonate with you and that you can talk about!

Yes I have done that! Not everyone has an OA job and has had one before. You can still get placement for pre reg despite not having one as your experience optically would be in university. There are opticians that will happily take you for pre reg without OA experience, as long as you have the relevant skills for it. For Masters students most likely they give you a pre reg spot rather than finding one yourself. If you do have the chance and opportunity to work as an OA go for it as you get real like working experience of your career environment!
