Can the height in the zone be changed when your quilting I have it set at 90 but I’m working on a queen quilt and losing quilting space
@Joyfulstamper
@Joyfulstamper 15 күн бұрын
Yes, you can change the zone % height - and it does not change anything about the panto size - but you need to make sure that the inches that show in Zone Manager (under the height % amount) really are the inches that are available to quilt in. Move your machine all the way back and measure from where the needle is to where the needle is when you move machine all the way forward. You don't want QCT to think it has more than that amount when it really doesn't.

It is your choice. I sleep better if I bury stitches 🙂 If it's going to be something (like a wall hanging) that doesn't get washed/dried, then I may just cut close to surface.

Janet, your expertise has saved me again! I've had my Q'Nique 15R for 5 years, QCT for 3 and I love it. My problems began yesterday when I accidentally popped out the bobbin spring. It's hard to get it back into the bobbin case and when I was finally successful with getting the spring back in it wouldn't sew. I discovered that the spring was too flat and my local quilting store didn't have a new one, but she gave me a Magic Genie ring to try. It worked but I still couldn't get my needle to pick up the bobbin thread. I turned to your KZbin videos and rewatched this one. I got my manual out, followed along with your tension info, and now I'm quilting again! You're a lifesaver! Videos from you and your hubby helped me from unboxing, setting up Continuum frame, beginning quilting, and learning the Quilters Creative Touch automated program. So I truly want to thank you both for all the videos and help you both provide for these wonderful quilting machines.

@@jennystrahley927 The nice thing about 4 pt is being able to adjust horizontal & vertical margins with different measurements. But there's times when 2 pt is a great choice also. Tinkering around with them can be very helpful! (P.S. Chunking is painful!! The only reason I forced myself to learn was so that I'd be able to have an answer to those who were with asking. I felt sorry for the ones with a smaller frame and didn't have the space to turn the quilt. 🙄 I'm sure there are other ways of figuring out the pattern width for going down the sides, etc. What I found so annoying was that I was doing a small amount of both advancing & unrolling because I could quilt different amounts down the side than in the area between borders.)

You referred to the pattern corners being a bit wonky, but what I notice is they are a directional designed corner and a directional border pattern. When placing the corners to keep the correct orientation and direction correctly, instead of flipping them(which put them in the wrong orientation)they should have been “rotated” to keep the direction in the right orientation. Just a note in case anyone else wants to use this border pattern they will need to know to rotate a directional corner pattern and not flip the corners.
@Joyfulstamper
@Joyfulstamper 5 ай бұрын
I realized after making/posting the video that I'd incorrectly flipped the corner pattern - so a Correction was added directly under the video: "Correction: The top-right and bottom-left corners and bottom border were incorrectly flipped." Also, at the time the video was made, the option to "Rotate" the corner node was not available with that version of QCT. Once it was added, I made an updated video to show and added this after the above Correction: "For updated corner placement, see the video: • QCT5 Beg/Pro - Placing Corner Block U... (QCT5 Beg/Pro - Placing Corner Block Using Rotate)"

The only difference in the latest version of 5 and current version 6 is the addition of the new lowest tier and the patterns that will work with that new lowest tier (they also work with the other tiers, too). As for v.5 Beginnings ...... the only change is the name change to v.6 Plus.
