2:25 the first time i heard this part of music from the first level of Super Mario World i was truly amazed. Then, I kinda forgot about the song and It really took me years to rediscover this song back again. I have been trying to find it using key words like "the 80s song rhat inspired super Mario world" but it seems like im the only one who hears it since google didn't provide any similar opinions or the name of the song. 😂😂 Found it by a pure occasion while looking at the lists billboard of top 100 songs from the 80s. What a relief and happiness, one less obsessive thought in my head! 😂😂😂

I have got SUCH good memories of this single. It reminds me of being in sixth form and meeting someone who would become my best friend, and who still is all these years later. He bought the 12", I bought the 7", we bonded over our similar music tastes! The song is as fresh as ever. One of so many great Scritti Politti songs.

I tell you what...if the extended versions of both "Absolute" and "Hypnotize" had been released as dance singles in the U.S I bet they both would have been top 10 songs at least. Maybe even #1s! Definitely top 10 songs on the U.S Billboard Hot 100 for sure! I wonder if they could be re released with some hot new video game like with what Grand Theft Auto did in resurrecting certain 80s songs. THAT WOULD BE EPIC! YOU GUYS STILL ROCK EVEN NOW!
