What a great and timely video as I am about to build a new miter saw stand. the current stand is made for job site situations. and I do not need that flexibility any longer. a stationary unit with storage better suits my needs. the math details are certainly appreciated as well.

I agree it is wonderful to see you back, I built a lift for my Planner stand based on one of your designs several years ago. It has worked well for me with one exception. due to my shop floor not being flat concrete with a few high spots it would drag. and today I cut a 1/4 inch off the bottom of the legs and this rectified the problem.
