Lovely to have a new kitchen, lol at the tap - as long as you get used to it. Did you say it cost £1k for the kitchen? For the cabinets only yes? We are lucky as we have mains drainage at the house (in a rural village) but no idea where the waste ends up though 🤔 What camera do you film with?

You are making the UK sound like a shite hole mate it’s still a great country despite problems and BG isn’t utopia. I know 3 different people that moved there and all returned so we can’t be that bad 🇬🇧

We returned to the UK after 11 years in Bulgaria, 6 years on and we're returning to BG where life for us at least, was so much better, but good and bad in both places. For us the main issues in the UK are the weather, the government and poor quality of life.

We must never forget that Bulgaria is the same for most Bulgarians as UK is for us - their wages are minuscule compared to UK wages and they don’t go very far, especially now with so much inflation in BG. We are very privileged as British people in BG and we should never forget it!

Good update. Your kitchen looks great. You should take things at your pace not at your commentators expectations. It’ll take as long as it takes and you need to get fully fit. Having a bad back isn’t fun. I found cold compresses helped me and a couple of gentle yoga poses (lion and cat) which help with movement. (But only do them when you’re starting to recover, not at the initial acute stage).

Going by the first 20 mins of the video, it seems you need to take a long break from the building work, put your feet up build a bonfire in the garden and take it easy for a few weeks, You seem to be getting confused possibly from over exhaustion, you didn't move in in 2023, did you?

Love watching your videos, keep them coming! Would be really good to see the actual progress filmed, e.g. the kitchen build, so maybe something you can include in future videos. One thing I would say is that some of the things you’re saying are not how things are generally done in Bulgaria. Sewage, for example, in towns and cities is done using pipework. So I think your experiences is more so a reflection of the fact that you are in a small and quite remote village. Looking forward to the next video. 😊

Thanks for the time you spend and the really honest opinion as well as what research or other details you can give. Those parts of Bulgaria remind me a lot of old East Germany. The flat roof tiles are the same. Anyway, your videos are much appreciated, keep them coming. Of course, that property needs a lot of work but it could also be turned into a holiday home? I know, one really needs some more hands on deck. Just a thought.

I wish you both a good life in Bulgaria, the place you have chosen has too many neighbors, but that's how we people are so different, as I wrote somewhere else at one point, I myself have lived here in Bulgaria for 11 years and am tired of being here, I myself live close to Yambol/Elhovo so it is at the other end of Bulgaria towards Turkey, I am from Denmark and will probably travel home again, or maybe try something new and end up in your area or maybe Vidin, who knows.

@Atom12-o6h
@Atom12-o6h 14 күн бұрын
@@TheOffgridNomadUK ok, so you are not actually the owner of the house you reserved. Reserved is very different to sold, it would imply a temporary holding of the property off the market with the intention of a sale. I would find that really annoying having people come round to the house demanding money weekly when it is reserved and not legally sold. I don't understand why you need a residency permit to pay in full, can't you just pay the remainder first?

@Atom12-o6h
@Atom12-o6h 14 күн бұрын
Ok, so no one comes to the house weekly. You must pay by direct debit. 500 is a small deposit. Usually it is 2000. That is to reserve, as a house isn't yours if you only pay 500, that would be either a reservation fee or a deposit. So you need the registration to get the business to purchase the land with the property. That sucks.
