Do you know that a flat for repair in the central part of the local district centre Vratsa, 80 km away from Oryahovo cost 100 000 pounds, just for being in the city centre? This house is overpriced, and for people who don't know how much village houses in Bulgaria really cost, it seems like a bargain and it's not. Anyone wanting to buy a house in Bulgaria, should come to Bulgaria, and see it for themselves, instead of buying overpriced properties being flogged by British.

This house is very nice and solid , with potential. It needs some minor TLC, to modernize it and make everything to suit your taste. For example You can create covered space with BBQ, pizza oven and dinning table in front of the house for summer use and you can sit and enjoy the nice view of the Danube river. Well, first you have to clear the bushes and the trees obstructing it . The land is perfect to grow your own veggies, herbs and whatever you want, Or you can have your green lawn, evergreens and flowers around the fence, If you feel the need of the hustle and bustle of a bigger city, Pleven, Vratsa or Craiova, are not far and you can be there in an hour driving.

Next year starts the construction project of Units 7 and 8 of Kozloduy nuclear plant, 20 miles from here and there will be vast demand of properties to stay for workers and technical staff. Hyundai will build these units and then my Air bnb activities will multiply. I already had several months engagement with a solar panel company.

There are some IT specialists moving in the area taking advantage of the high speed internet and working remotely. It's true that there are some unkept and unused houses around, however many of the houses in small villages are not for sale or abandoned, in many cases the young generation either moved to bigger cities or went to Western Europe to work and make more money, unfortunately their parents or grandparents pass away and the houses get locked waiting the owners to come back sooner or later. Recently, as a result of the bad economic situation many people are leaving Western Europe and returning back to Bulgaria,,they use their savings to renovate and modernize their ancestral homes . This town is very nice and quiet, one can eat real fresh fish from the actual fishermen , buy organic veggies and foods at a fraction of the cost in the West from the local farmers market where you can get local produce picked an hour earlier
