To any fellow strugglers who suffered through VTFEdit not working It is most likely because your directory is through OneDrive and that somehow prevents VTFEdit from working well What I did was, I deleted OneDrive completely -> made a new download folder and directory for all of my downloads -> and downloaded VTFEdit into that folder. Magically, that somehow fixed the issue of VTFEdit not being able to open the files I extracted off of GCFScape which were working perfectly fine before Finally, I do believe setting the download directory to your new download file will help prevent more issues further down the line That said, Imo, I just made a new download folder, made that my brand new download directory, and hoping I can save myself a headache in the future (PS - Chocolate tastes good)
