Pretty shure this was a portrait payed by and made for a wellthy family.....A rich guy...or some other member of this family ...or even the woman herself if She was a V.I.P of the time.....payed for this portrait to be made by van Eyck !!!! THIS IS NOT A ROMANTIC PORTRAIT MADE BY van Eyck WHO WAS VERY INLOVED BY HIS WIFE......!!!!!!!! To his wife ,van Eyck was givening her money , for her to keep a good house order ,a plenty house with every day needs to be satisfied....and NOT an useless portrait....
